Need a word or phrase translated?

I cannot understand some sentence in the following text.
ウチのお姫様を疎んじている方も多いらしくてね。何度お帰り願っても、すぐに招かれざる客が入り込んでくるんだ。困ったものだよ
"It seems that there are a lot of people who doesn't like our 'princess'. No matter how many times we ask them to leave, uninvited guest are comming immediately. That's really a problem."
……送り込まれて来た奴らは気の毒ですね
"I feel sorry for guys who were sent."
まったく同感だな。半端に能力があったことが彼らの不幸だ
"I couldn't agree with you more. Having their abilities incompetent was their misfortune."

Info about the story: The story takes place on a 「研究所」 as the characters are calling it. Soldiers are protecting 姫様(シオン) here, she is a very important scientist. And 稲葉 came to inform 亮 that the rat(spy) is entered the facility, and he is asking hi to eliminate him.

They're generally talking about the difference between figuring out who it is sending in spies and dealing with the problem at the "root", or just dealing with the spies as they come. Basically, as they remove/eliminate the spies (お帰り願って), more are sent in. However, to actually go on the attack against the person/organisation sending them would be more risk to them.

The last two sentences are them jokingly sympathising with the spy or spies. I'd translate 半端に能力があった as something like "being halfway competent". If they didn't have any skills, they wouldn't have been sent in the first place/or wouldn't have made it far in enough to be considered a threat. However, unluckily for them, they were just good enough to be considered a threat that needs to be eliminated, but not good enough to go undetected.

Hi everyone !

I need your help to translate the imperative form of "live" like :" Live !" in japanese. It would be wonderful for me to have this translation.

生きろ

Why on earth do you need that?

Hi! I'm just a begginer in Japanese. And I have a doubt. I was starting to read Chi's sweet home manga and Chi always use おうち in what he says. ie. おうちしってう?; おうちわかんない I would like to know what that means. Thanks

Polite prefix お plus うち "home" (or sometimes "house", depending on the situation).

I need help with this sentence (2nd one) . I can't figure out what 「そうやって大人と子供を使い分けるのがガキだって言ってるんだ」means there.

Thanks.

In そうやって大人と子供を使い分けるのがガキだ the grammar is just AがBだ, where the first noun is a noun phrase marked with の - i.e. "そうやって大人と子供を使い分ける" is what makes someone ("you"/the person he's talking to) a kid/brat.

Normally with words 使い分ける・使い分け is used to refer to correctly separating words with similar or overlapping meanings (right word in the right situation) - but I think here he means that the way the other person draws a line between 大人 and 子供 is typical of someone immature (i.e. using 大人 as an insult, defining it as "person who nags me/tries to stop me doing stuff").

って言ってるんだ = something like "is what I've been saying" (not literally repeating same words, of course).

In many cases it seems to be used to mean to define 大人 and 子ども (often in refering to yourself as one or the other) as whatever is convenient in the situation. So perhaps the other speaker is flipping between grouping himself with adults ("I'm an adult/grown up!" when he wants to be allowed to do something) or with kids (when complaining about adults in general/making excuses for something), and it's this inconsistency of how he 使い分け's the two categories that is being pointed out.

Yeah, that definitely makes sense in this case. The "kid" was annoyed when called a ガキ earlier, saying that he was an adult. Later on he complains about the other guy becoming a boring adult (first sentence in the screenshot). I guess implying "I'm a kid that has fun, while you're a boring adult.". Kind of an annoying phrase to figure out. Thanks again. :)

Without context my first assumption would be just masu-stem (e.g. 理解する→理解します→理解し). This has several uses, one is as an alternate to the te-form to connect clauses in a sentence (more formal/written language, often seen in newspaper articles for example).

Thank you. I thought it was something like this.

I cannot understand who is 闇子 talking about with「今まで、そうはいなかったのよ」. If I'm understanding correctly she's saying something like "'Somebody' wasn't like this before now."

(She is referring to 正面から喧嘩できるような相手.)

Frankly speaking, I'm not sure at all what she is talking about with this phrase, so if you say she is referring to 正面から喧嘩できるような相手 then I guess you are right. However, she says 瑠璃くんだけだったから, so it somewhat contradicts the referring. My only guess is that she is referring to 「よく俺を迎えてくれました」, so she doesn't let inside the person who 夜子 hates.

そうはいない/そんなにはいない expresses how rare those kind of people are, rather than "there are few people that~", so it's compatible with 瑠璃くんだけだった.

Hi guys, i'm a beginner trying to learn Japanese through reading raw manga and I'm confused about this sentence:

いまは まいにち もち かえって いるのだ.
I think it means something like this: Now, (I'm) bringing it home (with me) everyday. But I'm not really sure, the もち かえって parts got me confused between もち かえって いる + noda or もち かえって+ iru noda...

And does anyone know what 不幸のてがみ meaning? I check in dictionary literally it means "ominous letter", "misfortune letter", and in google translate it's "chain letter". But is there a more common term in english? Threat letter / blackmail maybe? (If it's any help, the context revolved around being bullied, the person thought the letter was a part of bullying scheme)

Thanks in advance!

The former.

Chain letter is correct.

Hi,
Could someone please explain the grammar and meaning of "変りようったら"? I'm having trouble figuring out how "ようったら" is used...

Thank you!

"The -masu stem of a verb + よう(= 様)" means "the look / appearance / state of doing", i.e., 変りよう means "how it is changed" or something like that.
よう【様】
6 動詞の連用形の下に付いて複合語をつくる。
㋐ありさま、ようすなどの意を表す。「喜び―」「可愛がり―」
様(よう)の意味 - goo国語辞書

~(っ)たら means "~ is extreme / extraordinary".
たら
[係助]《「といったら」の音変化》名詞、活用語の終止形・命令形に付く。多く「ったら」の形をとる。
2 ある状態・性質を取り上げ、それが普通の程度を超えていることを表す。「つまらないっ―ないんだ」「彼の秀才ぶりっ―抜群だ」
たらの意味 - goo国語辞書

Thus, 変りようったら expresses the speaker/writer is amazed at the change of something.
