Thanks Mike Cash.
A follow-up question: what would be the pitfalls of getting this as a tattoo?
Or, to put it another way, what would one be saying if they got this as a tattoo?

You don't want my honest opinion on this.

Looks like 茶 (tea) to me.

ETA: pitfalls of getting a tattoo: idiots like me who don't recognise 榮 as a variant form of 栄 will think you have "tea" tattooed on you, for a start. :P

こんいちは! First time writing here.
I came across a kanji that I cannot seem to find anywhere. I don't know how to pronounce it and I don't know what it means.
I've edited an image of it, as it appeared in a manga. It's the second kanji. I've put it with the previous one. Maybe that helps:

It's similar to the katakana for 'ma'. If you could help me I'd really appreciate it.

Hey, i was hoping you guys could help me with the kanji in the attached picture. Cant seem to find anything on it?

If needed it is related the a measurement, comes after something along the lines of 1shaku 7sun 7bu and then the unknown kanji comes.

半 "half"....poorly written

Guess thats another way for saying caligraphy ;)

Thanks alot

I've seen calligraphy. If I had meant "calligraphy", I would have said "calligraphy". That's just a very poor imitation of kanji by someone who is quite obviously aping Japanese writing. It is more like a mockery of calligraphy. As you can see, I was being nice and not revealing my true thoughts when I just said it was poorly written.

Post a picture of the whole text you're talking about so we can all enjoy this fine "calligraphy".

Just like the link says...."Golden Rule"
I met one Asian guy one time, he didn't say where he is from but he said that wasn't Japanese. Then I said what is it and he didn't answer. I wonder was he just messing with me :emoji_frowning2:

I just asked an Asian lady sitting right next to me who I know for a fact to be Japanese and she confirms that what I told you correct and that it is Japanese.

Nice to hear :) so the guy was just trolling with me. Thank you for quick answers!

I have a print with four (badly) written kanji, I was able to find three of the four meaning but I cannot for the life of me find out what this one means. Help would be appreciated. Also please give me the typed kanji and the hiragana for it as well. Thank you!

香 かおり

Why do you say it's badly written? It looks fine to me.

Well it's mostly one of the other kanji that was a nightmare to find because of how it was written. I shouldn't have been so general =P

Also I found that kanji earlier and there are some differences so I am not sure aroma is it

May we see the others, please?
