My caligraphy works

My copy of Heart Sutra by Wang Xizhi (more info on Wang Xizhi here: Wizards of ink: ﾃｧﾅｽ窶ｹﾃｧﾂｾﾂｲﾃ､ﾂｹあ (Wﾃδ｡ng Xﾃ?ｫzhﾃ?ｫ, 303 ﾃ｢竄ｬあ 361), Part I. | Beyond Calligraphy) in semi-cursive script. The work is quite large, 230x35cm.

sorry if I am asking about something stupid. I can not read kanji yet, and I can not understand what is written here. But, seems that one character in central line is thicker than others. Is it for special?

Asking questions to learn is never stupit. ﾅｽﾂｨ - means "ear", but also, "and that is all" in classical Chinese. Every calligraphy work has its rhythm, and it can be created in many ways, just as it is in music. Thick and think strokes is one of the mediums. Sometimes, calligraphers write over characters that were mistaken with athicker line, too, although it was not the case here. Life is for us to live it not waste it. I was watching X Factor the other day, and got hooked on the hip hop tune Young Homie by Chris Rene, in which he told his amazing life story. Truly inspiring and uplifting stuff. So, I sat down with the song looped in my mp3 player for a 4h and wrote a few works. Hope you like them!
