Hello my friend. Nice to meet you here.
I haven't heard yet from my friends around the world about their status for PGP category. But don't worry, there's a higher possibility that PGP applicants get the scholarship. Honestly, based on what I've read, once the applicant is nominated to MEXT, whether it is PGP or General Category, the applicant has the higher chance to get it.

I also have tried to contact our grad school on the updates of my application status. But they sent me an email thaf they will receive the result shortly and once they officially receive it, all the necessary documents will be given to me so I don't need to worry much.

Also 'shortly' seems a bit vauge, did they make any indication about exact date around which they will receive the result.

@Rishi I applied in Todai,
Yes, I know it is vague, however, they have told me in their previous emails that it will be announced in anytime in July that's why I don't want to act as impatient
though I told them I'm quite anxious with the result. So I hope everything goes well. By the way, last year I think they have announced it around July 20th.Did you apply under GC or PGP?@Rishi I applied in Todai,

Hmmm I'm not sure if that is under PGP actually. But according to what I've read, the results that will be announced in July are for the PGP category.

I was under the impression that general category applicants have already received the result.
@Ruthanne23 generally those who have result announced in july are from PGP category and they also get provisional acceptance.

@Rishi , I think so too. I have searched the list of the PGP courses and I have seen the other related courses to mine. I also looked back on their emails and attachments and it was indicated there that I was admitted to their program - is that the provisional acceptance you're refering to?
@Viet Yen, have you contacted your professor/grad school on the status of your application? I also have seen some who already received confirmation on that. Hope you receive it soon.

Where did you apply @Viet Yen ? I'm under GC and some of us had received the confirmation last day of May and/or first week of June. Have you tried calling up your university?

They sent me a scholarship notification/acceptance letter (not sure if the same is sent to GC applicants as well).
I'm contacting my friend in Nagoya University to specify the type of scholarship. I thought that it is under GC type but when I looked back the profile, there was not any indication of the type of scholarship. Btw, I applied through the Forefront Program provided jointly by my Graduate school and G30 Program, is it a GC or PGP type?

In application guideline, it is mentioned about the slot of scholarship given through that you can get what type of MEXT there.
Generally, if you apply in a program which has pecific name, it means PGP type. So I guess you are in PGP type.
Can you quote these content in your application guideline so I can check with application guideline of my university? I have looked it over but nothing found.

About is information about slot of scholarship through program. I apply "International Graduate Course for Continuing Professional Development" in Nagaoka university.
