MEXT Scholarship through University Recommendation

Some people said that it depends on how many candidates that your uni recommended and how many student that they can accept. For example, if uni nominates 5 students to MEXT but they can accept only 3, those top-3 student in the uni candidate list will surely get the scholarship.

However, many uni won't tell these numbers (and your rank). So, all we can do is to pray and wait for the result.

Actually I was also heard the same thing lots of time...but still it does not give me any relief........ :confused::confused:

Yap......I applied at University of Tsukuba to pursue my MS degree in Material Science (particularly Material chemistry and Biotechnology).........what about yours???......

Im into the International Graduate Program in Medical Sciences. Is your program part of the Medical Sciences?

At this moment the wait is physically hurting me, seriously. I can barely sleep. I wonder when this torture will be over, lol. I was told that the results would come out in April, but I'm not so sure about that anymore.

Lacertoss, waiting is always painful and it is hurting a lot....we have nothing to do at this moment, just have to wait for the result...but yesterday one of ex-MEXT scholarship holder told me that although they told that the result will be published in the earlier part of May, but sometimes they publish it in the later part of May (or even it touches June!!!).....I don't know, this info is true or not, but now I think we should keep our patience for more longer period of time....

Yeah, let's hope it doesen't drag on until June, lol. I am a very anxious person, so there is nothing I can do but worry, unfortunately. :confused:
 
I was also told that the results would be in by mid-April, but reading that it might drag to June makes me sad. I hope to hear back as soon as possible!
 
Hi there, I'm applying for MEXT throught University Recommendation, in my case Nagoya University. They told me that they sent my application last week but they don't know when the results would be announced. I was wondering if any of you know about this, because I read at the oficial website of MEXT that result could be announced until July... (too much waiting....... ) =3=

Hmm... I think that you applied to special program (e.g., International Priority Graduate Program) right ? Then, the result should be out around late June - July.

I applied for a G30 program, I don't know if it is a special program or not.
 
I am joining the waiting game... Golden Week starts this week so I guess results from MEXT will drag into May. I have been nominated by Osaka University. Anyone here going to the same university?
 
I think they'll probably have it by May. TokyoTech had given me accurate dates until now. ^_^
Let's see whether we'll have it by the first week of May. hahaha

By the way, does anyone knows how people normally recieve the news? Do we recieve via our professor/university or is the ministry who contact us? (via mail, I imagine).

The uni (or prof.) will inform us.
 
Hi, I applied at, Graduate School of Letters, Hiroshima University, for Doctoral Degree. I, too, am waiting for the result, whether I would receive the scholarship.

Hi, b4lmung! No, I have not asked to apply for the Certificate of Eligibility.
 
b4lmung, what exactly is this Certificate? I don't remember filling anything like that, but it was a while ago since I did all the paperwork, so I might have forgotten about it.
Reni, welcome to the waiting game, lol. Are your results also supposed to be delivered this month?
 
I have checked the form we must fill in order to apply to MEXT Scholarship University Recommendation, and I only filled in application form and pledge form. I don't remember filling any form for applying Certificate of Eligibility.
Hi, Lacertoss. I honestly don't know when the result will be delivered. Through e-mail, my professor only said "I'll contact you when the result is out". He never said when the result will be out T_T
I am only hoping that I can get the scholarship, though...
Does anyone here applying for Hiroshima University?
