Hey nice to meet you everyone !
I'm Fatou, 22 year old and from France. I came here because I've been wanting to apply for the Embassy mext scholarship for a while and this year I really want to do it seriously but the problem is my research topic.
I am Master student in International trade (Japanese and English) and before I was a bachelor student in Applied foreign languages (Japanese and English) with management option but we basically did a bit of everything such as international business, marketing, social sciences and Japanese society studies. It is so complicated to found out an appropriate field study and a topic when you did a little of everyhing without truly deepening, I can stay focus on marketing, international trade or management but since it's a research it's really complicated to involve a concrete methodology..
Also, I really love sociology, I would love to bring it into my research but since it has to be related to what you studied deeply, I am concerned about what the Embassy is gonna think about it. I am also thinking if I can find a topic about what I am studying but related to sociology like consumer behaviour, purchase culture/trend or entrepreneurship for example.
In the worst case do you think calling the embassy to have some advices or recommandations can help ?
I know I sound a bit lost and that's why I came here so I can have extern opinions to clearify this issue that block me for the moment >_<
