Hiya, I received my flight itinerary and leaving 1st April, I also got placed in Nagatsuta house for Tokyo Tech. I was wondering if the other Tokyo Tech applicants got their dorm info as well?

Since I'm from South Africa, my route starts off in Cape Town to Dubai to Narita airport. I leave on the 1st and arrive on the 2nd. I hope that answers your questionWhat is your itinerary, if you don't mind answering that.
Oh my gosh, no way...I've been doing the exact same sort of things! That's uncannyLately I am constantly:
- refreshing my email account in case my uni there sends me an email.....even though I get instant notifications....
- I keep on opening google maps and try to visit the area around my dorm....I seriously get lost everytime
- I review the documents to be submitted on the first day...even though I clearly know they are filled properly
- I look up repeatedly the cost of living for Tokyo....even though by now I must know the numbers by heart...
And I'm sorta enjoying those little habits...am I going crazy? hahaha

Thing is, I'm not even leaving until October haha but I still do the same things. I've gone so far as to get on GoogleMaps - StreetView and actually do a 'virtual walk' to my lab building from several potential apartment locations...weird, I know! But once I see a route/surroundings, I never get lost, so this will prepare me for what I'll be seeing every day
I've had a hard time finding a solid way to price train tickets if I need to live in an apartment further from campus...any luck? Or will you be living close enough to walk/bike? I'm hoping I can bike at least...

I applied MEXT scholarship as research student recommended by university at Kyoto university on the early of Jan 2015. Anyone knows the scholarship announcement date of Kyoto university, because it does not mention on university web page. Thank you.
I am also going to TUFS for language training!Hello! Is there anyone here who will be similarly going to TUFS on April 2015 for language training? Also, is there anyone who will enter Sokendai afterwards? Thank you!![]()
Only a month and few days left and we're all in Japan. The wait is killing me softly, but in a good way!
My school in Japan has yet to receive my form for the student ID, well passed the deadline (damn you USPS) but it clearly doesn't affect me as I'm simply ecstatic at the thought living in Tokyo for 2 years.
Though, I've been engaging in rather strange behaviours lately, which is only compounded by the fact that I've lived in many asian cities for long period of time in previous years. But for some reason the thought of living in Japan seems even more entralling.
So I'm kinda curious about people's strange behaviours during the waiting game haha

I actually did something even goofier than you guys, I made a Google Earth recording that flies through the Tokyo skyline and lands next to my dormitory. I recommend this software for true obsessives. :hilarious:
I think when we get there, we should write a MEXT Guide to Tokyo to give future accepted applicants something to read.

Hi ADevilSword,
The final results for "general" uni recommendation should be out by the end of April.
However, If the course that you applied is "International Priority Graduate Program(PGP)", they will notify the final result around June-July.
BTW, we should discuss on this matter in this thread
THX, b4lmung.
I've just got news about my application that it already got through university and subsequently submit to the government now. So, how long this consideration take? or the same period as your kindly answer, by the end of April.
ช่ายค่ะI don't know the exact date but the graduate school which I applied said that MEXT usually gives them the screening results in April.

Wow first time I head of having to change plane 3 times for a trip 0_o At least you'll get to stretch your legs hehe
Guess I a bit more lucky, they gave me a direct flight Toronto --> Haneda~ Haven't been to the Haneda airport yet
