I haven't seen Informatics website, but in Economics website, they refer that top 4 students of 8 international students admitted to the programme are eligible to receive the Japanese Government (Ministry of Education, or MEXT) Scholarship.

You also applied to Informatics in Kyoto University. I think we will know the result aroung the end of June
 
im really too nervous about this situation and its take long time compared to last years, i hope nothing is wrong

Hi,
I read that info also. This is for the Masters programme.
I am applying for a PhD. Apparently the number of admitted students are different for each program.

Kyoto Uni announces in its application process that the result will release around the end of June 2014. So plz be patient, we will know it soon ^8^

Schedule for Studying at Universities in Japan ? Kyoto University

This says that the notification for the "special programme" (these are some japanese education related programmes) is around june. The other programmes are done earlier. This is the case for all universities.
Plus, last year the results came by the first week of May for the non special programmes.

Maybe the program i applied is special ^^. This link is for next year. But it's around the end of June, too.

Hi all!
I applied for Master course in Hokkaido U and now waiting for the MEXT Programme results. University staff and my professor aren't sure when the results will be available and by reading this thread I've got even more confused. Initially, I've been told that results will be known by the end of April and now it's a middle of May already. But according to the info on this forum worst case scenario, I have to wait until July. Anyway, hope for the best and nice to meet you. Any other people coming to Hokkaido Daigaku this year?

I also applied for Master course at Hokkaido University.
And currently waiting for the result from MEXT.
I didn't ask my professor when it will be announced so I also don't have any information beyond this thread.

Btw, which faculty did you apply for? Is it International program?

I agree. This is sooo nerve-racking. :unsure: They should also release the results in the internet/webpage of MEXT or something.

I can't take it anymore huhu 😭

Mine is Graduate School of Environmental Science. My professor is really confident that I will get the scholarship. But I want an official confirmation, because my employer already planning to fire me, and I still need some time to get visa and all the nessecary preparations done.
Hope to see you in Sapporo this year. Btw, do you speak Japanese?

Maybe it's because your university is one of the top universities. So lucky!
I'm not too sure about my own :?

Anyway.. it looks like we have loooong week ahead of us. Every day would be anxious/suspense day :(

I see. I didn't ask my professor anything about my chance so I'm quite nervous right now.

Mine is Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, which don't have any international program yet.

I can speak Japanese however I don't think it is enough for university level yet.
So I will have to study more when I get there.

hi everybody, my sensei call me today, he told the office of international affair at Hirosaki university still wait the post mail from MEXT, so i should be more patient about that.

Maybe MEXT just sent out the results today right after golden week and we really have to wait until the universities receive them... ? :(
 
One of the students from Russia that applied to Kanazawa Uni already got confirmation from MEXT on May 1. I guess and hope, our wait is going to end soon.
