MEXT Scholarship 2012

As far as I understood, MEXT gave us 2 years (embassy sent me one document, where mext explained me details about my scholarship, and term of scholarship is 2 years so i have a right to stay 2 years even i am not enrolled in masters) And as you wrote within this 2 years we may enter masters or we may just pack and go back to our countries. 進学 depends on our wish. So in 2 years we have 3 at least 2 chances (but of course it depends on school, field and etc) to get in masters: oct-april-oct.
But every time you fail entrance exam you just need to pay entrance exam fee from your own pocket. If you succeed MEXT pays everything. Well of course I may be wrong, it's just my understanding and my friends who already in japan by MEXT explained me this way ^^
 
neuro11, don't worry about that, i think you will ok. I know that very race case failed after 6 month research. Good luck man.
 
I got final word from my embassy also.....Im officially going to Japan.

I think it is 2 years for all research students, but I think you can extend MEXT scholarship once u get accepted into another program. I plan on getting more info on this once I get to Japan.

My documents now say Masters, so I think Im already accepted into the MBA program. If not I"ll take whatever exams and apply when I get there.

Congratulations to everyone and I hope the other embassy start to make some calls....I know too well how frustrating the wait is.
 
SereneGem: Congrats to you. are you apply more scholarship?? Japan and another palace??? what is the uni in japan yo applied?

MEXT is the only scholarship I applied for. I'll be going to Ritsumeikan APU
 
SereneGem: do you applied for april 2012 smester? and what field do you study? I applied mext for october 2012 at Nagaoka and i can't look for anyone applied nagaoka in this forum :(
 
nguyenledu: nice to meet you, i'm going to depart in October, too but in Tokyo. Do you hear any news from the Embassy? I called them yesterday but still no news. I hope we could share some information since our visa procedure and others is going to different from the other who is going to leave in April.☝
 
satthukodoimu: nice to meet you, too. I have no receive final result. Final result will be noticed in june. I have just nominated by Nagaoka university. I have quite worry about result because it's a long time - next 4 months. hic. You have received mext scholarship for embassy recommendation, right. Congrats to you and another friends. Hope me lucky. do you study doctor or master program in Tokyo?
 
nguyenledu: ah, you are Mexter through University Recommendation. I'm applying through the Embassy. I'm going to take Master course in Tokyo. But still no final affirmation from the Embassy, i'm a little worried now :? How about you? Ms or PhD? Waiting is tiring, so try your best. 😌
 
satthukodoimu, where are you going in Tokyo? I preferred to go in October, don know why they enrolled me in April. Will meet Embassy soon to discuss about any possibility of changing the enrollment.
 
satthukodoimu: You have just name list of embassy so you don't have to worry :). I think they're preparing everything before noticed for you. I'm applied PhD program. and i'm very glad when just realized that you are vietnamese :). Do you work or teach in DN?
 
neuro11: I'm going to take Ms course at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Minato-ku, Tokyo. Are you going to Tokyo? If so, so happy to meet you here. 🙂 My course which is conducted entirely in English will start in October and I wish I could have 6 months of intensive Japanese but maybe it's hopeless. I'm still waiting for the final word.

satthukodoimu: It's a good job :). I'm teaching in HCM, but my hometown in quang Tri Province. You can contact with japanese embassy in VN to ask some information. you have a little things :). I hope that. Congrats you again.
 
Final results are out in the Philippines. :-) See you all in Japan (especially those going to Tokyo, we should definitely meet once we are there) in April!

I am in same situation as you, I has been nominated by Nagaoka for Master program :D
What university have you obtained master degree du?
I hope you and I will meet in Nagaoka in October

If you're nominated, there is little chance that you may fail. Instead of worrying, the best thing to do right now is to brush up your Japanese. It's a tough road ahead :-)

Yeah I will register in a class to study Japanese. BTW the program will be conducted in English so Do you think 6 or 7 months is enough to have enough Japanese ability for daily activities?

Hi, i have just revived an email from the admin stuff of Office of my department regarding the student id card. She also asked me to choose a Japanese katakana name for me to use in my ID. Now anyone have any idea about what is this???
 
Hello guys, I'm from Malaysia.

Japanese Embassy had just informed us that they received the final confirmation from Tokyo that we will be granted the MEXT 2012 Scholarships (Postgraduate).

They are now preparing the official letters, which include our university placement and departure month.
 
wzlaw: congrats to you. do you get mext from embassy recommedation? and what university and field do you study? - You will come to japan in April 2012 semester :)
