Gladly, I've got a job and actually it's my job that inspired me to do the research, but I'm kind of tired of it and wanted a change in my life - and studying in Japan is definitely a huge change I desperately need
Maybe it will be better for me to try looking some work in Japan directly, apply to Japanese companies and so on, but it's nearly impossible in my country. Besides, I don't have a clue what to do to get a work in Japan, but it's definitely worth a shot, I think.
As to the number of candidates, I believe that last year there were 4 people that went to Japan after all, but I was so frustrated when I heard the news about my status that I forgot to ask the embassy person about this issue =\. I plan to call them on Monday to know more details.
