I put Kyushu University as my first priority and apparently they only take 2 people through the embassy track so I'm super nervous

1- kyoto for foreign studies 2- waseda university 3- tokyo for foreign studies
So i'm so nervous bec i heard all of them has a very competitive selection

I think that is regarding the document submition right? But it's not say we're accepted to the KUFS right? My 1st choice is TUFS do you know anyone got acceptance mail from TUFS or Saitama?

Yup it was that but althougt they said it's not final they already made us chhose out dorm rooms

Damn I only just got notified of my acceptance (into Sophia) from the embassy. Haven't gotten any other communication (from the uni) maybe because it says that my accommodation is 自己手配

has anyone been told to apply for a visa? how did y'all fill out the visa application form, like the guarantor/reference, and then the inviter in japan? i was told i can put the university down as the inviter but if that's the case, i only need to put the address, tel number, and the name right? and then would the guarantor/reference just be the same as the inviter? and also, it asks for intended address, since i don't have any yet, i can just leave it blank?

i assume since i've notified my consulate general that i am a mext scholar, they probably will just overlook all of the things i can't fill in right???

I haven't received any email regarding visa application procedure yet, but if you have any questions, i think it's better to just ask the consulate in your country! OR the university you were accepted into.

Yeah I already have, just seeing if anyone else was going through the same thing... Well for me, I was told to apply for a visa in the same email from the embassy telling me I was accepted by MEXT (and the University)

one of the other friends in this thread was told by the embassy to apply for the visa next week, and i was told that i'll be informed later, so i guess you're the first to have started the visa procedure for now

Oh wow I was just told to start applying at my "earliest convenience" lol
