I have a niece that has resided in Japan her whole life. My brother was a Marine stationed there and was married to her mother, whose name was Hiromi. My brother's name is Douglas P. Nelson. The last address I have for her was in 1998, she would have been 12 years old. She was writing postcards to my daughter who is of the same age. She would now be approaching or at 30 yrs of age. I have an old phone number and and old address. She was living in Nakagawa-Ku, Nagoya. I have only met her once as an infant when she was brought back to the states. Her mother used to send us photos of her though as she was growing up. My brother (her father) divorced her mother and I know her mother got remarried to a Japanese man. We have not heard from anyone since this time. I believe my brother has some psychological issues, and our family has not seen or heard from him in almost 20 years. I believe he may have similar no contact with his daughter Kirika in Japan, but I am not sure. We really want Kirika to know that we do care about her, she has family here in the United States, and we just do not know how to find her. If anyone can help us to find her, that would be great! I do not speak or write any Japanese, but it appears Kirika was taught to read and write English. Thank you for any suggestions!
