Let's play a Shiritori Game - Japanese word game

未納 みのう ....oh great, another word I don't have a clean translation for... How about "unpaid", although it's a little different....

閏年
uruudoshi
leap year (I think that's the correct English translation... not sure... those years where February has 29 days ^^)

塩漬け(shiozuke)salted food, food preserved(pickled)in salt
鮭の塩漬けが大好き!

keisansuru - e ... to count ? am i right?😌
Please, I would be thankfull if you all could write with roman letters too, i cant read hiragana....☝

Shouldn't it be ru? The e I think indicates "thinking" ^^

留守
rusu
absence

sumimasen - excuse me :")
to-Rodel-: "I can't read hiragana....."
Sorry, I have not read the rules :),
suru - to do :)

I think 向こう側 (mukougawa) is better... mukou just means opposite... (direction, party, etc.)

so... u... from mukou

梅干し
umeboshi
tried plum

*yuck* :p

植木鉢 (うえきばち)uekibachi--- flowerpot

Next word begins with "chi".

Ok... i need 20 charecters, or it won't let me post this message... so next is: zu

Sumimasen,
while Mrwabu have writen in hiragana (I guess), I kan not read the word. So i have two questions:
1) how meny charakters is in hiragana alphabet? (watashi wa baka desu!)

Hi there, JAL-san, nice to meet you! 👋
Since this thread is only for the shiritori word game, you are not supposed to post a question here, but please do not worry. We have some other section where you can ask questions about Japanese language.

Please check here.
You can create a new thread by clicking the button saying "new thread" on the left and ask anything about Japanese language there. There are always many nice people there who can help you out with your questions. You are always welcome!:-)

Now, let me get back to the shiritori game

My word is 綿菓子(わたがし)- watagashi -cotton candy

Arigato Kyoko_desu-san! (i am not sure about "san")
shiru - to know, or mybe - to know something would be better.
Next is ru! :*)

ルート
ruuto
Root, Route

japanese words starting with ru are only very few ones... ;>.>

とろろ
薯蕷 (I think this is usually written in hiragana)
tororo
grated yam

This gets mashed up and put on noodles, a little bit expensive. I don't like this stuff, its texture when mashed is quite horrid.
