Hm, they say it's to reduce pollen, but it sounds to me like a quick fix for Japan's insatiable lumber addiction.

The cedar trees have caused vast damage across the country?

Air pollution, processed food diets, additives, chemicals, preservatives, chemical fertilizers...the list is very long as the causes of 'hay fever' but it's those darn cedar trees that are to blame.

Seems to me, the cedars are the natural equivalent of the foreign crime wave.
