Besides the obvious means such as the Internet, what ways should I study Japanese? I'm too shy to just go up and talk to people. My Japanese level is maybe N4 and I've been here in Tokyo a year or so.
I'm also way too poor to afford language classes or proper lessons! But thanks for your list, and I'd really appreciate it if anyone else has some suggestions. Especially to learn grammatical constructs and natural Japanese usage.
OP is banned but for anybody else looking at this - these sort of classes are volunteer-run and often genuinely free or dirt cheap - I looked at the website for one on that list and it was 1000 yen for five classes.
