KanaQ and KanjiQ

Hi,

Anyone here use flashcards for learning kana and kanji?
Why not try my flashcard programs for your Java mobile phone (they're free to download).
They're designed to display Japanese characters on non-Japanese phones (although there are also versions available for i-Mode and Vodafone Japan users).

Cheers Dan. Looks like quite a learning community going on here!

I also forgot to mention that KanjiQ and KanaQ work on any PDA which supports J2ME (Java Micro Edition). I believe Palms and some PocketPCs do, with minor software updrades...

Hi all!

Just to let you know, the LanguageBug site has been updated to include higher-grade versions of the kanji flashcard program KanjiQ. Now, all 1945 jouyou kanji are covered.

Also, Chinese language learners (are there any on this site?!) will be interested to know that there is now a Chinese language version of KanjiQ, called HanziQ. Enjoy!

Nice one mate, cant wait to try this my phone. Should help me alot in learning the kanji, plue all the games are crap on my mobile!

Ah... Man I just tried both version the normal one and the mini one, but each time it says the app has expired and one of the files fails to transfer. The normal kana one works though?

Really? What phone are you using, and how exactly are you attempting to put the app on your phone?

Hi, yeah I have a Sony Ericsson T630 sorry I was going to mention that last night but could not find the manual. I'm sending it over using my laptop via the infra red port.

Interesting, this is a bug that should have been fixed already!

Can you try downloading it from the WAP site (wap.languagebug.com) and seeing if you get the same result? If it still displays the "MIDlet expired" warning, could you please give one of the HanziQ downloads a try and see how they fare?

Hey, I sent an email but dont know if you recived it. My mobile is a Sony Ericsson T630, I also tryed sending over the Chinese language pack but that did not work either. Anyway would be very happy to get the Kanji pack working, would help me a great deal!
