Has anyone seen it?
I read they are planning to release an international version so i am hoping with subtitles.

Probably he is talking about 実写版. (Incidentally, the climax scene of this movie was shot in my home town.)

Wow! I remember watching the anime years ago and really liked it.

Can't wait to see this as well.... although It might be better to just stick with the anime.

Maybe, but from the trailer it looks like they did a pretty good job with the special effects, and I'm curious to see how well they pulled it off and what they included and left out and how far they took the story. I'm excited about it.

I watched it with a friend who was very familiar with the original material, and he said they did a pretty good job of bringing the work to life. For those who know the manga or anime, there are no surprises, but that's not really the point of doing a live action version anyways.

すみませんでした I meant the live action version. Well that's good to hear that it wasn't ruined and from what I read they plan on making more to follow the series. hoping we may get a preview showing with subs in select theaters here. How soon to Japan's Blockbusters go to Disc? US is like 6 months to a year depending how well the movie did.

I'd rather watch it without subs, personally, but I'm not sure I'll get that chance.

Yeah I would like to watch with out subs but My japanese is not as good as yours. haha. Plus I am sure they will be using older form of japanese which is considerably more difficult for me to understand. similar ye thou and art for my wife.

Ha. Well, yeah, that happens. But it's not too bad. 拙者=私, お主=あなた, でござる=だ in most cases (therefore ではござらん=ではない and all other variations). That should cover most of it, I think, but I don't remember too well because it's been a while since I watched it.

Watched the movie last night (avistaz ), wasn't too bad and it had some cool scenes in it. It feels a bit short and I wish the movie was longer or split up into two movies. I was suprised to see Teruyuki Kagawa in it, a movie star that is a bit too big for this movie.

I saw the movie on the plane over to Japan. It was super small so I downloaded it when I got home and watched it in HD. So much better, haha! They kept the story pretty close to the original and I agree with Davey, it could have been longer or split into 2 movies... Some really cool action scenes though!!

I would have wanted a longer movie. I loved it, though. I was not a fan of Sato Takeru before but this film completely changed my opinion of him.
When I saw Kagawa Teruyuki in the film, I kept referring to him as Yataro. My friends were asking me who Yataro was. Then I remembered the last time I saw him was in Ryomaden, as Iwasaki Yataro.
