Kanji and grammar help

I got a message in japanese from a member here who doesn't know much english, i asked him if my japanese was better. My hardest thing to translate this is its too complex for my level, and the kanji is difficult. But, it doesn't sound nice..

日本は寒い日が続いています。
おかげさまで私は元気ですよ。
今日は晴天です。・・・がとっても寒いです。
今は、布団の中で体を丸くしてこれをを書いています。

日本語のスレッドを見てケヴィンさんの日本語が大変上 達しているのに驚きました。
(大変上) - This means 'awful, terrible'. LOL

ちょっと気になるのは、乱暴な日本語になっている
ことですね。 乱暴 = rude??

お正月は家族で温泉旅行に行く予定です。

ケヴィンさんは新年をどのように過ごしますか？

Actually they are saying your Japanese is improving quite a bit, and they were surprised.

上達する = to improve.

It doesn't seem to be a bad message at all..

Yes, I'm a native English speaker. Are you?
I don't understand your problem, to be quite honest. When I said "they" I didn't mean it in the sense of "more than one person", I just didn't read your post closely enough to know that this person was a "he". So I wrote "they".
