Mr.Junichiro Koizumi is to step down in September.2006, and Mr.Shinzo Abe will be the next PM of Japan. Who are they? Where is Japan headed for?
And what will be the possible impact on the global community?
As we all know, Japan has been the one of the most obedient subject states of the U.S. after it's defeat in WWII, and became quite a rich country in spite of it's lack of ordinal natural resources.
The Japanese have been showing their great talent in making quality products, now like Canon's digital gismos, Toyota's Lexus with hybrid engine. Their natural resources are not oil or natural gas, but their brains and diligence.
But it seems quite clear that Japanese people have been failing to use their brains in shaping their bright political future, by having the notorious people like Mr.Junichiro Koizumi as the Prime Ministers of Japan, and let him get a landslide victory in the general election 11th,September, 2005, where he manipulated the agenda of the reformation of Japan Post quite favorable to him, and disguising his real intensions to the public, and let the LDP taking the total control over the House of Representatives with more than 62% seats.
Now, Koizumi is happily stepping down, after visiting his favorite Elvis Presley's house together with his good old friend, U.S.president Mr.George.W.Bush. and sang "Love me tender" in front of him, and after that, he visited Yasukuni Shrine on 15th,Aug. and show the performance to general public, and deliberately rubbed neighboring countries' fur the wrong way.
And now, Koizumi' s successor is Mr.Shinzo Abe, the grandson of powerful politician Nobusuke Kisi. Nobusuke Kishi was detained in Sugamo prison as an A class WWII war criminal, and later got released by the Allied Forces, and became PM and the power broker in LDP, who strongly supported the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty.
Shinzo Abe, one of the many 3rd generation politicians in Japanese parliament, is a hard liner to North Korea, and pledging the revision of the constitution including dispatching the troops to overseas, and he has the record of ever mentioning that there's no problem for Japan to have it's own nuclear bombs, if it were small ones.
Now, Sinzo Abe, the rightist wing new generation politician, is going to sit in power, with strong backing from LDP dominance in the House of Representatives, there's high chance that the nightmare will be real for people in Japan and it's neighboring countries in Asia. And this can lead to the substantial instability in Asia Pacific region.
The political situation in Japan is obviously changing towards bad direction and to the extent of tyranny, yet people there are remaining silent.
Perhaps, this is because the Japanese mass media is not working properly as the journalism at all, but serving as an institutional propaganda machine for the people in power, and the general public are manipulated & blinded by the main stream media, and just busy paying their bills.
And most likely, the heavy plutocracy and close relationship among political, business & bureaucrat circles, have degenerated the spirits of democracy of the Japanese, as a result of having Liberal Democratic Party in power for almost five decades, under the strong U.S. regime.
Japan's zombie politics are real, and we should keep our eyes on it.
