One thing I've found is that games can really up knowledge when it comes to language at times. Now, many people are aware of the kanken kanji games on the Nintendo DS, but I'm curious if there exist others games, such as online. Not the language learning ones, but ones meant for Japanese.

For example there are numerous games such as literatti/scrabble and others based around words and spelling in English, and I was curious if the same existed for Japanese. I know I have seen a Chinese version of scrabble (I'm not kidding, in Macau) so I figure there must exist something along these lines.

I don't suppose anyone is familiar with any?

Here is a site with Kanji crossword puzzles. They are pretty challenging. Give them a try!

Ah! Puzzles

Haha... I didn't know Kanji cross-word puzzles existed. JEZ, it isn't easy is it!

Hmmm, so apparently after enough points you reach the "kanji country"? o_o Has anyone gotten there?

It's brutal... good practice I guess though Kanji destroys me normally, let alone this hehe. Thanks guys.

errrr..... I wasn't quick enough to click on the link before it disappeared.

Sorry ASHIKAGA san, something was wrong with my previous post.
I've edited it, hope it is OK now.

No matter how quickly I answer the Shokyu level without any mistakes, it is just around 800-900 points I get.
So you need to grow your tree to meet someone by playing 12 or more games.
At the Jokyu level, you can get around 2000-3000 points/a game, but it is really challenging. And don't worry, he/she must be someone from outside the solar system, not Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese or other Kanji using people, if they used the Jokyu 4 word phrases in their daily lives.

One idea may be to pick up your favorite phrase as a personal motto. Or another idea would be to send your request to goo that they should put Furigana or make a Furigana mode in the questions for, at least, Shokyu level.

This is mine.
厚顔無恥
thick-skinned
shameless

Please keep in mind that it is just a game after all.
