you mean Nihon Chinbotsu. yes it was in the cinemas a couple of months ago, and it is a remake of the movie Nippon chibotsu a movie from 1973.

Lol i watched it in Japan a while ago and it reminded me of armageddon haha....i didn't really enjoy it...then again i'm not into the whole end of world type movies
