It keeps Canada competitive but it's lop-sided compared to the lack of FI in renewables. I'd feel better about this if it was the exception and not the norm.

Your country lucky to have such resources. At any price over US$70/barrel, extracting the oil from the sand is profitable. At over US$90/barrel, you guys are making a lot of money. The income from the deposits will help your economy to grow while trying to deal with the U.S. slowdown. I bet Impex wishes those deposit were here in Japan.
