foods - there's a wide variety of restaurants. International groceries are limited. What else do you want to know?
transport - there's a very well established public transport network of trains & buses. Many people also use bicycles, scooters, motorcycles or cars. What else do you want to know?
apartment cost - Anywhere from Y50,000/month to Y200,000/month. You can get even cheaper lodging if you live in shared lodging or in smaller cities. Are you interested in a specific area?
salary range - For what kind of work?
