Japan and the ancient Chinese civilization

Hello. My question is, as in the Western world, for their advances and influence ancient greeks are considered the forefathers of Western civilization, are ancient chinese considered in some way similarly in Japan despite the strong personality of the Japanese culture?

The Ancient Chinese Culture and language are preserved in the Japanese society and to some extent in the Korean Society till this date. After the Yamato period, the Japanese did not have much relationship with the Chinese, Instead the created their own culture from the ancient Chinese culture, during the Heian period and the Higashiyama period. The Old Chinese literature is preserved in the Japanese language called Kanbun. The Japanese Elite studied Chinese literature( Kanbun).

But the Japanese considered their culture unique and you can find in history that the Japanese broke out of the Chinese Imperial tributary system many times. They dont agree Chinese as their Big Bro. After the Meiji Restoration , the Japanese nationalist attacked the relics of the Shoguns ( Ashikaga) , Because the Chinese bestowed them the title the Kings of Japan.

Okay, China and Japan.

Although Japan had learnt Chinese culture and applied it to their culture, it doesn't mean that China is better than Japan or Korea.

Japan got Chinese culture and developed it the Japanese way.

at first, Japan learnt Confucianism as one of an academic in sumurai school. so it had a nothing to do with ordinal ppl. Bushido is far more important. it means it was one of research materials until meiji.
as for korea, it was 100％ of life.

for example, Japan never learnt Imperial examination( 科挙）and Eunuch as stupid thing.

Tokugawa Iyeyasu built the Tokugawa shogunate and bureaucracy based on Neo-Confucianism. After the Meiji revolution , Buddhism bore the brunt of the Neo-Confucianism. Tokugawas strengthened the Buddhist Monk and Monasteries to consolidate their power. Common Man had to register himself/herself in the Buddhist monasteries to avoid persecution.

This is not my view at all. I just opened the thread to know some Japanese opinions about that issue.
