well its been so long since I talked here.

Here's my return, at least you can understand how the world works.
The reason I bring up religion is for serious discussion. Talking about religion (in the proper manner) opens a few blind doors for people to go to and learn about different types of people and their faith.

howdy there, can i just tell master X, if you are a muslim then u should know that it is not allowed to bring up such a sensitive subject as religion, among people who are not muslims, and buy what people have written, they suspect you of bragging that islam is the best religion, even though i dont see much evidence of that as i just skimmed through the posts. and for the non muslims out there, please dont insult something you are clearly not well educated it, im not insulting anybody but arent there sayings that say know your enemy? if you believe that islam is based on angry old men wearing turbans bombing people, then u terribly misinformed about islam. islam gets over 2 million converts for a reason. it is against religion to force anyone into islam so they all do it acording to their free will. i am sorry that what you were informed about islam is all wrong, for the americans, the media there tells you every day how american troops are hurt or injured in iraq, but do they ever mention that over 100 hundred thousand iraqi's have been slaughtered, including men women and children who have absaloutly nothing to do with the war. media makes you believe what they want you to believe. thats why i greatly respect the british, the british do not rely on one source of information, the read from several different sources, and do what they can to find the truth, but the americans do not, that is why they voted for bush for the second time. the media strikes fear into the heart of every american. that is why endless americans are so illinformed. dont get me wrong i love americans, they are halarious people, really funny folk and kind and wark hearted, i even have plent of family there, but when it comes to their views on islam and religion and the wordly goings on, they know nothing.
anyway im going to rap up here, im sure im going to get a lot of hate mail, but i just want to say to all the non muslims, please dont attack something until you have fully understood what it is. islam does not say bomb people or whatnot, thats what the media makes you believe. anyway see you later all you fantastic beuatiful people. ciao ciao!

Don't be fooled by what the media tells and doesn't tell us. Yes, they do report more on how Americans troops are killed than they do on how many Iraqi civilians are killed. And just so you'll know, I believe that we're making an effort as to inform the public about Islam and Muslims. And don't just assume that all Americans don't know anything. As I've said before, the media is trying to make an effort. I already know that Islam is a peaceful religion, as well as other Americans. (The ones who have been paying attention at least).

No there was not, but before they went in the believed there way. This is not right to go to war with someone true. However there belief was very stong and they did find the means to make sure weapons if Sadam wanted to and places to store it.

Now im sorry to say this but in order to make sure that my country was safe from Terrorists, evil dictators and attacks from foreign countries that i dont quite get along with they yes i will go to war, no matter what others say. He was given his job to help run America and Protect American people, it does not matter what he has to do in order to achieve this. If i had a small percentage chance of having WMD used on my people no matter how small a chance, that justifies the right to go to war. I would rather have the blood of Iraq soldiers on my hands than my own country men.

Also if so many American/British soldiers have to die in order to make sure that our countries remain safe so be it.

Just to point this out. Saddams Iraq was one of the more liberal Muslim countries in the Middle East. Fair enough it was a dictatorship and his own people sufered, but he was not a leader who housed terrorists. He didn't like them because most of them followed a different style of Islam to him. They were also a threat to his own authority. Iraq allowed female ministers, had a christian vice-president. We have gone to war on mistruths and lies and turned a stable country into a breeding ground for terrorists. This country is now more at risk from Islamic terrorists than before the war. I'm sorry, but as far as I can see the Iraq war was a war for oil and finishing what his dad should have done in 1991. There would have been support for it then and not as much backlash from it.

So what you are saying if a country is a threat to yours go for first strike option. I'm so glad nobody did that during the cold war.
There are many countries that are a direct or indirect threat to this country. Saudi Arabia is one of the biggest trainers of terrorists in the world. Nobody wants to go to war with them. Why? Because they are seen as a pro-western country. One reason for the war in Iraq was because Saddam was not pro-western. Maybe the ten years argument is not that viable, but there was more support then for a continued war against Iraq then than there is now. UN support being one of the major things.

Actually i do believe that that was not true, It was the UN that told them to stop 10 years ago. However sorry if i am wrong about this.

Exacly, they probally provide more of a benifit to us then Iraq did. They help provide America with alot that is needed.

At the time Iraq really posed no benifit to us but still posed a great threat in the way of WMD. If Iraq has no intension of such weapons then why employee so many Bio and chemical weapons experts that worked in russia during the Cold war. Im not saying Iraq was the only country many others did such as North Korea and even America. America employeed so many to work of defence situations instead though. Somehow i dont see the same happened with Iraq.

They posed a threat that America and Britain saw as bigger then it turned out to be. But would it be acceptable for them to take that risk with so many of there own lives at risk.

Secondly if the war really was about oil then the same thing really applies. Oil is the most important natural resourse at the time. If Oil supplies were ever to stop then the worlds economy of the more economically developed countries would entirely collapse. They were merely securing there peoples futures. Again the need for war was great.

Now as I said in my introducing post, I am a muslim (Turkish) and I'd like to give my opinion about some things I read here and which litteraly shocked me...

To begin, there isn't any authority who can decree that someone is (or isn't) muslim. But we have a holy book (the Qur穗) and its message is clear. As it is said in it, killing people is a sin, even if they do something wrong. So by definition, a terrorist does something which is in confrontation with his religion. He may say he's a muslim, that's his right, he will be judged for what he has done down here, anyway. What I don't like is that there are people (with this famous "sheep" attitude) that make of this a fact - muslim = terrorist. But this is wrong, because murder is forbidden by Islam. I'll never judge anyone, because this is the privilege of God.

I saw that someone asked : "what do you think about an Israelian child killed by a Palestinian ?" - Well my answer is : this is wrong ! My turn, what do you think about hundreds of Palestinian children killed by the Israelian authority ?! Let me give my opinion first... After the Second World War, the Jews wanted to have their own state (I can understand that) and the English asked (not very gently) to the half of the Palestinian to move because thay had to find a place for all those Jews. But did those Palestinians ask anything ? Why did they have to get out of their home for another family ? Is that fair ?! I heard this once : "An immoral act generates an immoral act" ... And that's exactly what's happening there, there is an authority (can you imagine... an authority) which is killing people who didn't ask a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g and now because of some foolish terrorists (who are as immoral as the authority), muslims are the biggest curse of this earth. Actually, this is paradoxal, because at the present time, there's a lot of people who is convert to Islam (we never were that many since the relevation of Islam, 1400 years ago). But this is not the point...

Conclusion : terrorism is something, Islam is something else. Don't make the confusion. And do not forget that even if there are some Palestinian guys who love playing with bombs, there's an Israelian authority (and army... -_-) which loves playling with tanks ! (Make the difference) If the English really wanted to help the Jews, those ones would all be living in England by now, and the occupation wouldn't even exist.

I'm new here and I don't want to get problems already. I'm just giving a constructive opinion. I'm not Palestinian so it's not really my problem but what's happening there is unfair and I think that people should think about it a little more objectively. Thank you for clearing that up. It's really nice that someone is here trying to shed some light on Islam. But it is difficult to change the way some people think. One of the problems contributing to negative views of Islam, is what I think at times is the media. For one, when they use words like, "muslim fundelmentalist" and "arab terrorist" these words are repeated over and over again until it's stuck inside a person's brain. It's just a vicious cycle, and people began to belive that Islam=terrorism, and things of that sort. But then I'm just giving my pointless opinion here. And by the way, your Eglish is wonderful.

Buf if people can live (and be stupid at the same) time, I guess that if they don't bother me directly, I can live with that. I know what I'm doin' is right and I feel... free ! It also supports the Saudi Arabian government and did support Iraq in its war against Iran. These sort of arguments really bug me. The 'My religion is better than yours' or the 'Look at how good my religion is'. If you look at a normal person in the street can you really tell what religion he is? Does it matter to you if your local store manager is a Sikh, Muslim or Christain? You'll still buy or milk and tea from them. As long as he/she is happy with their religion and you are happy with yours, why argue about it? when people start to argue about it it becomes wars and hatred and oppression (see the Bahai in Iran and Falun Gong in China). Surely if God Exists for you then It should be quite happy with you worshipping It and not killing people who worship It differently? After all, all major religions preach about peace between poeple. Pity some of their worshippers can't do it. My rant is over, I need food.

Essentially Allah is the same God that is worshipped by the Christains and the Jews. All three religions follow the God of Abraham. You can call him Allah, YHWH or Jehovah, the deity remains the same. The actually way that God is worshipped by each religion is different and the way that various teachings are interpretted are different, but the deity is still the same one. I have no problems discussing this with a woman and would like to know how the God of the Muslims is differnet to the God of the Jews.

Psalm (David), Torah (Moses), Gospel (Jesus) and Koran (Muhammad) all came from the same God. in each of them there are similarities when it concern about unchanged facts and history. but there are also differences, especially in law since each of these Holy Books revealed in different ages. to say that one book is a copy of another is ridiculuous. just read them all and you can tell ( but i don't know where to get a copy of Psalm nowadays).

As a Muslim I really can not believe those, people who do not know anything about Islam think that is Islam and the things happen to the Muslims. Unbelievable, that is not true, real Islam principles are based on Allah (God), Muhammed SAV.(Prophet of Islam), peace, being a nice, kind, honest, helpful person, etc. but by these kind of men everybody thinks that Muslims beheads other people and especially one thing about Islam that it never forces people to do things like that and forces women to wear dark black headdresses etc. Trust me this is not Islam, also there was a movie really disturbed me which was "Not without my daughter" about a woman whose husband from Iran and drags her and her daughter to his country etc etc. That is not Islam my friends really not...Before judging or critising him/her any Muslim around you about his/her religion please please please learn something about this religion, not only critising religions or another thing I believe having enough information about the subject helps coling the case
