Let me start out by saying that this is a thread for talking about the future ending of the Inuyasha manga (especially since the anime has ended anyway- in Japan at least). If you haven't read past the Viz publications, there will probably be spoilers. You can stay up to date with the Japanese weekly releases by reading the translations on either this website or this one.
Anyway, from the latter website is the following: "In chapter 400... there is a brief comment by Rumiko Takahashi, where she is happy on reaching the 400th chapter of the series. She also adds that there's still many more stories she has to write (before the series can finish) and that for now she's aiming for at least 500 chapters (in total)."
With 10 chapters per book and at least 100 chapters more to go, that means 10 more books to come out! 4 books are released per year, that means 2 and a half years to go! HOLY CRAP!!! I love Inuyasha, but jeez I thought for sure it would be over by this year. Not to mention, I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I think the series is dragging. I feel like Takahashi has been stalling, what with all of the recent filler episodes (well, maybe they're not episodes, I don't know what you'd call them when they're in manga form). When the series began, things were so mysterious and she gave us interesting little tidbits in the plot every now and then, but now everything seems recycled, I don't even know what's going on in the plot. Anyway, just want to know what everyone else thinks.

I havent read the manga yet, but i watch the Anime version, on Adult Swim. I heard that the show ended, but they're going to play re-runs of all the episodes. Ive seen some of the episodes, at least 4 times.

P.S

Or are they going to write more, to continue the show. I wish I knew the answer to this.

the show isnt done yet........its sooo long and repeditive(almost as bad as DBZ)but it is an interesting show

Well, I was told, that in Japan its done, but that in the US, its going to run for a few more seasons.

i heard Inuyasha ended... from friend of mine. i personally find the series annoying... o_O

yah....its way too long and repetative....in every epp he uses wind scar, and kills something...omg soo exciting.....*dies from all the excitment*

and there are too many filler epps

oh he can also do somthing like"iron reaver soul stealer"i dont know if thats right, but its somthiong like that with his claw......

yeah, it seems the characters aways revert back to their sig moves I guess. Oh well, I watch it to learn how to draw anime

i watch it because im bored during the week....(Ytv SUCKS!!!!).....I wish i had cartoon network...atleast they have desent anime....unlike Ytv....only anime they have is .hack sign...inuyasha.....Gundam seed...and DB(z)(gt).....

Yeah, DBZ is way to long, and over rated. I thougth they end it after they finished the original one, but I was wrong.

I guess they started the second season on Cartoon Network, but they tossed Cowboy Bebop, and Ruroni Kenshin. Who desgins the schedules anyway

She doesn't die, the fact is..it isn't over. There's a rumour going around that there will be OVA's to finish off the series. I just hope it's as good as the Rurouni Kenshin OVA's, the Rurouni kenshin series end was fairly disappointing, but the ova's made it allg od. But yeah, The Inuyasha ending wasn't to good. I also heard they were planing on making another Inuyasha series but I wouldn't dgo that far, it's gone on to long 😌 So, let's hope an amazing OVA is put out instead of long run-on episodes.

an OVA is Original video animation or OAV, Original animation video. It's anime that is neither broadcast on TV or released to movie theatres before distribution. Generally is has far better animation then the original series (Possible not all the time) and it's usually a wrap up of a series

Interesting, Though, It seems that the goiod anime likme Trigun and Cowboy Bebop get chucked as their coming into their own.
