Dear native speakers,
I think it would be all right to say
(a) I was surprised to see the students speaking English fluently.
but how about (b)?
(b) I was surprised to see the students fluently speaking English.

Would it sound unnatural?

Thanks in advance.
Hirashin

The second one is not wrong but someone wishing to emphasise the fluency would be more likely to put the adverb at the end.
