the main problem is about history and islands. if the war break off between the two nations just because of that problem, i think it's silly to both sides.the talks can solve any problem, instead of fighting. there is a suggestion for your reference that Japan apologize to china about the history and pay something for the chinese who die or injured in the ww2. as well as china should give up the claim of islands. so this is benifits to both sides..right?

Both country put more importance in their pride that in understanding the other side. It's usually for this reason that wars happen (otherwise it's usually possible to find an amiable solution that benefits both parties). But I don't think there will be any war soon. the things cannot be overlooked that china had fighted with UN in korea, it's hard to say : who is failune. so your opinion seems to be over exagerated.
