I have great respect for japanese people and their country, Im thinking about selling my coin collection to get $2,600 for part of the money for my trip there.
But I keep thinking to myself, the japanese and america had wars agianst each other, when was it, the 40's? Not even 100 years ago. How could the japan and america change so much? Japan now makes cars, better than american cars, and is very friendly with the US. This wasn't always the case I don't think. I hope this post isn't offensive to anyone, it's just I can't believe how much has changed. With the attack on pearl harbour, then the horrible nuclear bombings of hiroshima which killed many innocent lives, it took 2 nuclear bombs on japan for them to surrender. The japanese at that time period didn't want to surrender, they wanted to die in honor. Now we are friends with japan, and japan is one of the power nations of the world. I think japan now is one of the most peaceful countries.
I think wars are invetible, but I'm shocked on how things change like this.
