How will the Matrix end?

My personal vote is that man-machine will become one. I have this strange feeling that that will be it.

Yeah, I think the same way although imho, i think that Neo can be in fact just an AI program... and the anomaly that oracle talked about was actually agent Smith... somehow i always think that agent Smith holds the key to the Matrix...

well, that's my take, let's see how it turns out in the last episode.

I think that a hacker might corupt the machines abouve and the humans come up and take over the upper world and that they fix the machines and now Years later Humans join the machimes.

Neo will develop stronger and stronger supernatural (supermatrixal ?) power and will eventually get rid of the robots by going back to the source (a bit like destroying the black star in Star Wars). It will all work like in a dream for him. Maybe it is just a dream...

A big flaw in the story is the human creator of the matrix. It relates to the Judeo-Christian idea of a human creator-god actually. But if humans have been created by him, who created him ? Has he got no parents ? What was there before the matrix was created ? Of course, this film is destined to an American audience, so most people won't even question this, but I don't like it.

I might have missed something, but in Animatrix, humans created robots, but isn't it the robots who created the matrix to control humans ? Or did the matrix exist before the robots ?

At the end of Matrix reloaded, Zion (Israel ?) is about to be destroyed by the robots. If we don't want Matrix 3 to end after 10min, there must be a serious turn in the story that allows Neo and the humans to win their present battle against the robots (at least temporarily).

But after watching the 2nd Matrix, I always beleived that Zion is only another part in Matrix, (ie - Zion is software, people "think" that they are rebelling but in fact, they are actually still in Matrix).
This explains why Neo was able to stop the Sentinels (Squiddys) at the end of the 2nd eps. And somehow (from last post above), I still think Agent Smith is the key....

Well, that human creator, or the Architect as he's referred to in the movie, is actually a AI computer program that designed the whole matrix. As far as i understood the Animatrix, this program has been written by the robots themselves.

Wouldn't be surprised if everyone dies in the 3rd movie. As the Architect said, this is was the 6th version of the Matrix. The third movie might show us a 7th version in which everything that happend before repeats itself, except for Neo who has a strange sense of deja vu and remembers that everything happend before and is able to change his destiny and save humanity after all.

Something similar happend in a Star Trek episode when the Enterprise was stuck in a timeloop.

Of course, if Neo can stop th robot in Zion it's because they are still in the matrix. But then the robots are also part of the Matrix and there is no other reality than the Matrix. It should not have any creator (or else it is only part of something bigger, another reality, but what !?) and all the concept of the architect and revised versions of the Matrix fall apart. It doesn7t make sense any more.

In any case, if the world of Zion and robots is also in the Matrix, it's a double Matrix (Zion + normal world where Neo can fly).

Or, f I remember well Animatrix, are all Humans actually prisoners in some kind of plasma test tubes, connected to machines and all the world of Zion and the Matrix is nothing but a dream created by the machines. If that is true, it means that the machines have comlpetely destroyed the real human world and made them their slaves. If you remember the episode of Animatrix where humans try to convert robots by making them decide by themselves to help humans through the illusion of the Matrix ; humans say that anyway robots can't make the difference between the reality of the Matrix and the real world. But justly, that is what happens to humans in the film. Their real body is prisoner in test tubes in huge towers, and they believe that Zion and the Matrix are the real worl, but it's all an illusion.

So why is Neo an anomaly in the Matrix ? Is it also part of the robot's illusion in order to give flase hopes to humans during their dream, or is Neo one of the human prisoner with a strnger personality and can actually defy the whole robot-made system, and eventually will be able to destroy it by the strength of his mind, get out of the test tube, free the humans and destroy the robots ?

The moral behind this story (with the knowledge of Animatrix) is that nobody should ill-treat others, even robots ; that humans should be careful that their own inventions turn against them to destroy or at least contriol them and make tem suffer the same as humans made robots suffer. So beware of technology that is using you, like this computer that is using s much of my time !

Humans could've created the robots and machines. This even includes the Matrix; which is actually a huge library of human subconsciousness. They may have done this to preserve human evolution, or human knowledge. Something terrible happens and wipes out all the humans on Earth leaving the Matrix running by itself. (remember Zanarkand from FFX?? ) So everything is an illusion, or a dream that stores the thoughts of the now-extinct humans...

This is where the film comes in; Matrix (okay, sub-Matrix) is a program, Zion is also program..... and they are predictable. Neo and Smith, are the anomalies that holds the key pointing to reality.

Hang on, Zion is the real world, remember in the animatrix there were some human survivors and they hid under ground, in Zion, because the robots were too many to stop and these survivors are the ones who are trying to free the trapped humans in the Matrix. So as to fight the robots.
The robots are run by the programming from the Matrix so in order to stop them the humans have to get inside the matrix to shut it down. That's why they need Neo and the others.
Maybe Neo could stop the sentinels outside the matrix was because he was the ONE, maybe he has ESP or something, or cos they're all from the same program.
Or perhaps they all can stop the sentinels but just don't realise it yet. I don't know just throwing out suggestions here.

I agree with Twisted, i reckon the Wachowski brothers will leave an open ending to the Matrix so they can generate more stories into a manga form. Good for us then hey?

It would be a good way to generate mass interest, start with a great movie and then continue on with manga and anime versions.

Let's say the world of Zion is real, then how was Neo able to stop the sentinels there?
I can only think of one solution. Neo is a robot. A perfect android with emotions and a flesh and blood shell. He might just not realize it yet.
Who planted him in the Matrix then? Perhaps there are human rights organisations among the robots themselves... But that's far sought.

How Will Matrix End? What the hell is up with Neo?

I am not really sure about this one guys, but I think that the humans and robots will live together as one. I think the power of the robots will be stripped down to being that of just common robots again. As for neo, I thought that maybe they were still in the matrix because of his ability to stop the senties, but actually think about it, maybe neos power is just growing, so now, instead of just power to control the matrix, he also has power over the actual physical robots, and can stop them.

Well, this is my opinion, but however it ends, I am sure they will not let us down.
