How to read DECIMALS 🇯🇵#shorts

Learn how to say Decimals in Japanese in less than 1 minute

Here's something I never learned. How do you say scientific notation? For example a number like:

3.037e-08 which means 0.0000000037

Here's an example of how it's said in English.

Amazing and it seems very complicated!!!
Anyway 0.0000000037 in Japanese, I say REI TEN REI REI REI REI REI REI REI REI SAN NANA

In Japanese we say like this
10 X 10 ....!0 kakeru 10......or also 10 NO NIJYO 10の2乗
10 X 10 X 10......10 KAKERU 10 KAKERU 10.......or also 10 NO SANJYO 10の3乗
10X10X10X10...10 KAKERU 10 KAKERU 10 KAKERU 10.., or also 10 NO YONJYO 10の4乗
and so on....

But you can't say that if the number is even smaller. Like
0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001324
that's why we need scientific notation!

I found some information here. I think I'm not going to worry about this. :)
Actually I do work with numbers like this sometimes in my work but I don't have to say them out loud.

As you would already get, 3.037×10-8 is read さん てん れいさんなな かける じゅう の マイナス はち じょう.

Incidentally, transliterations of English terms are also used especially for length, weight or like that.
e.g.
2.34×10-8 m = 23.4×10-9 m = 23.4nm(nanometer): にじゅうさん てん よん ナノメートル
5.6×10-13 g = 0.56×10-12 g = 0.56pg(picogram): れい てん ごーろく ピコグラム
