im so shocked as to how that works!...i must try it now, thanks for the sharing of greatness it will now help me finish my laundry and make it some what entertaining lol

Brings Back Memories !!
In Navy boot camp we spent hours on the floor learning how to fold our clothes. You would spend hours getting everything just right in your locker; then some jerk would inspect and throw it on the floor & say "Not Right"! Who would have ever thought it would take a week to figure out how to fold my jocky shorts & socks!!
When the guy stood in the center of the room and hollared out the instructions, it might as well have been in Japanese to us poor boots!!

Judas H. Priest, Frank! Don't remind me of my days in boot camp! (by the by, I was in the Navy too!) The exact same thing happened to me way back when (1976, that's the spirit!), man, my CC (company commander), Machinist's Mate First Class John C. Benware was a real ballbreaker! Now that I've been a civilian for almost years, I don't bother folding a damn thing! And I'm proud of that too!

For Years I Had Nightmares About....
my four years in the Navy! The one that occured whenever I was under stress during my waking hours
was about loseing my shot record and having to have them all over again. It took about 15 years for the bad dreams to stop!

Please Listen To An Old Man's Advice!!
Unless you are all muscle and little brains, don't join the marines!! It is at the bottom of the pile with the rest
of the services! Equipment, training, money, etc. drain
down through all the other branches; the Marines always
get the outdated hand-me-downs ar nothing! Their purpose is to be a killing machine, and that they are very good at!!I will grant you, that "IF" you live through your hitch, you will be very proud to have served as a Marine, THEY ARE an elite group. Again, unless your true calling is to kill, please go into another branch!! As a Naval serviceman, I served with Marines my 4 years in and was amazed how brainwashed they all were.I will probably get flak for saying this, but go into any other branch!!

Frank's right! Go Navy! As a former sailor, I can tell you that Navy boot camp is far less grueling as it focuses just as much, if not more on the mind than the body. Plus you'll get to travel to far off and fascinating countries (like Japan) on modern warships. if you want to travel, save money for college and learn skills you can take with you into the civilian world after your enlistment is up, the Navy is the way to go! Jeez Louise! I sound just like a recruiter!

I couldn't imagine wearing that white little sailor suit, im kinda admire my teacher with all these force recon stories, but im sure every branch has that, i dont think i could be a cold hearted killer, but it'd be nice to have some kinda job where i work with technology. I have something i want in all branches, its just that if i figure i go marines, i dont have to be scared on a plane ride or the bus ride that long

Well, You Have Two Choices !!!
Listen to a couple of guys who have been there , more or less; or listen to a guy who will lie to you 6 ways to Sunday because he's paid to ****** guys in! One of the few things lower then a snakes belly , is a recruiter; he's gotta quota to meet and will shave his mom's head and sign her & ship her out!
Go Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, whatever, just PLEASE don't go Marines!! Make sure you mention your allergies to the recruiter or any medical problems. Boot
camp tends to make you eat everything on your plate, no excuses believed!

Wearing the white sailor suit ain't so bad. Besides, it's only for six months out of the year. But, if killing people in the service of your country isn't your cup of tea, then the Navy is the way to go.
Frank is right about one salient fact: recruiters in ALL branches of the Armed Forces will say and do just about anything to sign you up. Go in the service because you WANT to, not because of any snake oil a recruiter may try to sell you!
