Made up like most everything is. Some one creates a rule to control behavior.

older than me from 2 to 4 years is much better than younger than me .....
I can feel like she's more educated and she doesn't have the girl's silliness. and now I'm falling in love with girl that she's older than me by 2 years ... 😍

hey,

i dont think LOVE is taking into consideration the age... might be hard on ur family if they hear ur loves one is the same age or older than parents, but they'll accept it in the end.

i prefer girls my age, but i dated some one much older than me with 27 yrs, and it was great for a while :P

so, love is between people with no age ;)

best,
em

You forgot the "as long as its legal" option.

Anything else is people trying to enforce their subjective morals on you.

I think age doesn't matter if it goes about real love. But the youngest in the relation schould be old enough. I don't understand 20 year old boys with 40-50 year old woman. And 16 year old girls with boys nearly 30.
But I'm 18 myself. And my boyfriend is 5 years older. I think thats just perfect. He is mature enough for me.. Not as childish as boys my age.. But a lot of people give me a strange look when they hear it. They first need to discuss to get to the conclusion I'm actually mature enough for a boy 5 years older.

Do posthumous marriages count?

Only if the deceased stated in their will that he/she wants to marry you after dying.

But I think you've got bigger problems if your partner only wants to marry you on the condition of them dying first.

was talking about adults and it didnt even crossed my mind that it would be illegal...

My post was directed at the thread, not you personally.

Nah, I was just provoking people lol, but anyhow, most jurisdictions disallow it on moral or capacity grounds anyway. Marriage requires the the continuance of consent up until the point it it actually takes place. A dead person has no capacity to vary or revoke consent, so he or she would be severely disadvantaged. Anyhow, this applies to the civilised world lol.

I feel the need to clarify one of my previous posts. I guess I let myself go with the romantic part of myself :) and when I said love has no age I surely talked about adults and with both parts consent. Thanks for drawing my attention. it's a good point.
