I don't have a goal to achieve here, and I think in the 21st century I can say that my circumstances will allow to stay unless the worst happens. So, no clue, maybe I'll get bored of forums sometime, maybe I'll simply get banned.

This is the best site on Japan I have found to date and I have been on the internet for 15 years.

I'll stay as long as I have a computer and an internet connection and it continues to be moderated as well as it has been for the past three years I have been on here.

I may take a break now and then, but I check in every day and post when the mood strikes or I have something to add.

I guess this question is not for those who are just joining, because, as Dutch Baka san has pointed out, probably extremely few join with a 'plan' in mind regarding length of time they'll purposefully remain an active member.

As for the present then, like all of the above, my thoughts (not really a plan...although that could be considered simply a figure of speech) are that I'll be here until it's not possible, unfruitful, or is altered so much as to not be the JREF it has pretty much always been, more or less. Yes, like Uncle Frank san, I'm married with JREF !

I took a break from Jref for awhile because of a couple of jerks. I went to a few different forums, but sadly jerks like the ones I was trying to get away from were in charge. I came back and thanks to members like uncle frank, mars man, and many others I've stayed put ever since.

So I plan to stay until my heart gives out or when Final Fantasy 7 is declared the worst RPG in history.

How long this poll asks do I plan to stay at Jref.....Mmmmm.
I have actually never been to Jref itself so I can not respond accurately to this question. JRef is in my opinion a state of mind rather than an actual location that I can stay at. I dont think I could physically fit into the server here.

However that being said baring an atomic holocaust, an outbreak of a plague of biblical proportions, an earthquake that sinks the island I live on, global warming that melts the polar icecaps that erases my island, catching mad-cow disease from eating infected red meat, catching a parasite that makes me deaf, dumb, and blind.....but I still play mean pinball....from eating improperly washed vegetables, get killed from not wearing my seatbelt in my car, or getting killed because my passenger didnt either........

I guess I will be here as long as I am here. Or to copy the words of that famous philospher Ossan, "I plan on being here until I'm not" .
