Oh very nice, well that makes sense.Well, the only reason I do the review is the reason I stated above, I can't keep everything in my head between school, work and Japanese, so I do the review. It's kind of like taking a semester and then studying for a test, you know? For example I stated that I did a complete Genki review, there were a lot of words I remember doing but I forgot! I also have to do a bit of grammar, hopefully you're right and I can tie them both together. I have Kanji Trainer for the PSP, unfortunately I can't use it yet as I don't know all the vocab, and my friend has my DS. iPhone, I have three Japanese applications and one dictionary. No grammar as of yet, all Kanji and stuff.
You're probably doing it the better way, though, 800 Kanji and I can't use a good 400 of them.

窶堋ス窶堋ュ窶堋ウ窶堙ア - many or a lot, modifies nouns, anything else?
窶伉ス窶堋「 - the same as above, if I'm not mistaken. Does this get used in the same way?
窶鏑窶堋ゥ窶堙 - yutakana,
ツ渉ャ窶堋ウ窶堋「 - small, when contrasting size?
ツ渉ュ窶堋オ - few, when in contradiction to having a lot?
chotto - the same as above, modifies both adjectives and nouns?
totemo and sugoku?
Another small, is ato and ato de the same? As in, can I say gakko no ato... / gakko no ato de, ... ?
Sorry, another, if I wanted to say, "Are you planning to do anything interesting in the summer", would this work:

That's right, I remember you saying that the short form is more appropriate with the kara.(寒すぎますから is acceptable, but 寒すぎるから sounds more natural.)

Is it used the same way as takusan / ooi?豊かな means rich, plentiful, it has positive connotation.
Oh I see, physical size.小さい is about size, opposite to 大きい. (Like little dog, big dog)
So this is the opposite of takusan / ooi, chotto / sukoshi, respectively colloquial.少し is referring to the volume.
Got it. (hijo ni?)とても and すごく means almost the same, only すごく is more colloquial and informal than とても. (More formal way of saying とても is 非常に)
Oh no! I thought it was right! I guess I can't think of a no toki sentence. :\Actually the first sentence sounds wrong, the latter is better though I think 時 is not necessary.

Right. Basically you need to say 煙草を吸う for "to smoke (tobacco)".
I assume you can state this as benkyou shi sugita no de, so the ending 上がりました is used to imply a positive outcome?たくさん勉強したので、成績が上がりました。
You can use "smoke" alone if "tobacco" is understand, or in a response to the topic being established.Got it, in the US we usually just say "smoke", which is why I put it there. I'll remember to use tobacco.
To do something to an excessive degree and expect an affirmative result ?/ ☝I assume you can state this as benkyou shi sugita no de, so the ending 上がりました is used to imply a positive outcome?
窶ーテ溪?堋ャ窶堙ゥ is usually translated inherantly negative, though, as in "too much" of a particular state.Right, when one studies a lot, one gets smart, which is an affirmative result, right?

I studied a lot so I grew smart.

I understand that this is probably a literal translation but I'm trying to work in 上がりました (other than Tori's たくさん勉強したので、成績が上がりました example).
Try an online translation for getting a rough cut of the sentences. It won't compromise anything as sort of a first pass reviewing tool. And I am seriously NOT confident about 時 with the seasons....I sent you an email of a further inquiry, Elizabeth. Unless you'd like to publicly discuss it?
It might be more natural to replace "Time" with "Among"."Time" is replaced by "Among". ???Among doesn't make sense to me, but I get what it means. Thanks!
