I download much of my music/PVs with Bittorent, but when I like a singer very much I buy the CDs..

I usually download j-music with Soulseek or WinMX (both are p2p programs) as a sort of "try before you buy". I buy what I like, and discard what I don't. Same thing I do with american music. Only problem is that it takes a little longer to scrounge up the extra fifteen bucks it takes to get j-music CDs.

Hehe, yeah. Fifteen extra bucks.

American CD = $12 - $15
J-Music CD = $25 - $30

Oopsie indeed. ^.^

J-Music CDs I Own:

Dir en grey - Vulgar
Dir en grey - sixUgly
Dir en grey - Kisou
Dir en grey - Macabre
Dir en grey - Gauze
L'Arc~en~Ciel - Smile (japan version)
L'Arc~en~Ciel - Dune (japan version)
Utada Hikaru - Deep River

Anyone know where to find Dir en grey's first CD, Missa? I can't find it anywhere. Not even EBay.

Er, I don't own any JPOP or rock. I have a final ugly tour on DVD [dir en grey]. Mostly I go to www.songjapan.com or ask friends to send me some. N E one got any?

I download some stuff, but mostly my friend burns cds for me...that's how I've gotten to see concerts and live performances...but I've also bought a few cds..they're hard to find an can mostly get them at cons although there is an oriental trading store...my parents don't let me order stuff from online, but sometimes I get my friend to do it and then I give them the money..hopefully I get to order more cds soon ^^..cuz I really want the sixtah day Gackt cd..he's just soo awesome ^^ :D

As much as I would just love to buy some of my favorite artists cds, I can't at the moment. Shipping and handling is a bit too much as opposed to walking out of a Music -n- More store. Perhaps, if I didn't have a ton of bills that were a bit more vital, I could afford to buy their cds.

But one day, I swear on my life, I will own a Moi-dix-Mois cd.

CD's I own:

V6: Very Best
V6: Seven
V6: (I dun know what its called, but its a single)
Gackt: Vanilla Single

as you can tell I listen to Jpop cuz that's the first type of j music I heard...I'm in the process of getting Gackt: Sixth Day...I am so happy I've gotten to see the Gackt Mars concert and the V6 Space conert...^^ yay!! 👍

MP3 Rotation sites and other websites that have JPop supply my addiction

***edit*** and I also buy as many cd's as I can at anime cons

i download most of the stuff from soulseek and from a ftp were i get the latest single's

going to buy some stuff soon

I downloaded all of my J-pop music 😌 because I can't buy it in my country. A guy in the store told me, that they don't sell J-music cd-s because there is a small number of listeners here:( :(

I don't get J-pop... I listen to a bit of it but not much. Now j-rock... that's different. I usually download and give it a few listens and buy it when I have money. I mostly buy dvds though. Just too many cds to buy. 😌

The Jpopsuki.tv station on Winamp shoutcast tv is pretty good, though you don't get to choose what you wanna hear when you wanna hear it, it still plays Jpop and jrock music videos 24 hours a day.

I download most of my music [Soulseek <3], though I try to buy CD's as often as I can [read: have money]. And, I also buy something from every concert or convention I go to. :-)

J-CD's:
Dir en grey - Kisou
Dir en grey - MACABRE
Dir en grey - six Ugly
Dir en grey - Clever Sleazoid CDS
BLOOD - VENGEANCE for BLOOD
+ DVD:
Dir en grey - TOUR04 THE CODE OF VULGAR[ism]

;;__;;

I downloaded my CDs from a variety of places, and if I really like the band- which is very rare- I go and buy the CD. Unfortunately, since most of my sources are community-based, I am at the mercy at the tastes of fellow peers, which are not always as eclectic as I'd like.

.. don't tell the police...

I download from torrents.... ssss it's a secret!!!

* I don't have money, and I share😊

I won't pretend that I don't download most of my songs, but I DO buy whenever I can. I've probably only paid/brought 10% of the songs I have on my comp, but considering I've spent nearly $800 on them, I think I've made a good effort to support my favourite artists.

In case you're a filthy rich brat who's laughing at my mere $800 investment, I'm a student who works odd poor paying jobs and get's home at 1-2am whenever she can to earn the extra cash since dayjobs arn't an option.

As for downloads I get them off IRC, forums, friends. Basically anything except p2p programs and torrents.
