I was searching something related to Japan and I used Google. Just wandered here

I was looking up some Japanese inventions and Goolge gave me an interesting thread about "lorry."

Now, that wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but went to it anyway, out of curiosity.

When I saw the responses, I was absoultely amazed.
Over 100 people replied. Now that, is something quite unique.

I love words. I thought I'd fit in perfectly in a bunch of lexicomaniacs! Love you all!

I used google, I was searching for info of katanas, and stumbled across the forum's library of information. I was impressed, so I joined. I can say that everyday has been better since then. it helps me, since I joined the Japanese club at my school. Jref rocks. Google rocks.

i found it from japan-guide, and unlike japan-guides forums, i felt there to be some worthwihile discussion here, the japan-guide forums arnt set out in a way that asppeals to me, and the discussion is pretty stagnant because people dont appriciate intelligent discussion or anything outsdide of the set norms.

Phantasmagoria - I've been looking *everywhere* for the music for Regret! Did you find it?!?!?!?! If so, please pm me I *really* want it! If you have it I'll try and find you something in return - I can usually figure out most guitar stuff but I'm not so hot on piano

And *ahem* how did I get here? Looking for a translation of something... I've not been learning Japanese very long - a few months and no class to go to I got into learning it coz I got to love j-rock first and I wanted to know lyrics (not just translations given but to figure it out for myself!), and then, I got a Japanese friend and started to get more curious about all things Japanese... besides finally having the motivation to start learning so that I could talk to him in Japanese :winklove: :keitai:

The forum is surprisingly addictive, especially when you're at work The only downside being that I can never actually make any *useful* contributions.
