Amazing to me! I see members here almost every day who have been members for 2,3, even more years. They seem to check in often to read, but NEVER post. There must be a post that screams at them to comment about, but they hold back.Maybe they are afraid of their spelling & grammar, and language skills?
Here's you chance to come out the closet you quiet people! Post here and tell us why you have been a "silent" JREF member for so long.

There are also some members of who I wish they would post less.. I guess the world is a wicked place.

Hmmmm the more recent excuse?, I spend most of my computer time playing World of Warcraft.

TBH I just find myself posting less, or coming here overall, I wouldn't say its anything against the forum itself, I just visit a decent few internet fora and I pick and chose which ones I'm more interested in reading at the time.

(Ethalan, on the vashj server, horde.../tell me for a guild invite, kekekeke )


When I do commit myself to looking and posting here, I do find a few posts worthy of my input, but of late I have this opinion that unless I feel I have something to contribute or am really interested, I'm better off keeping my big gob shut.

the lowest post count so far for repliers here is 90. I was pointing out the members with ZERO posts, not even an introduction post? Some have been members since 2004, check in every week or two, but don't post. I guess it just stuns me , with all the varried threads here, not 1 drew them into a reply? I guess me being a blabbermouth, I can't understand a "quiet" member, LOL.

I'm not exactly a very 'quiet' member but even I sometimes feel like drawing back from making/submiting a post. In this forum there are people that can express their ideas in a very clear, and structured way. People who, like me, don't have much fluency in english or that cannot express themselfs very well will feel like their post is somehow worthless and that will not contribute anything to the discussion at hand.
Also there are some people that simply don't feel the need to post. For them this forum is somehow like a television, where one can connect and see the latest news, dramas and discussions available.

I've quietened down a bit recently. In a bit of a downer, but it normally hits me this time of year. I do know that some members only join to get information that they cannot get if they are only guests. I have a few PM me for the Chakushin Ari ringtone, because that is all they seem to want. It is the reason I originally joined, but I like to talk, so I stayed and posted.

Some people just sign up to every fora that they can, even if they have no interest. I know that I'm a member of a C++ forum, but I haven't tried it or posted(And i've been a member for about 4 years) because I don't program C++. It's just good to know that, if you want/need to, you can go on them without the hassle of registering on the spot, you are already registered.

Another interesting type of member I have noticed are ones who join to use the "Private Message" function. They send each other PM's but never post? Maybe they are terrorists using our forum to send evil messages? Boy , how's that for paranoid, LOL.

Then I just got busy...after being unemployed during the great Happy New Year's Greeting from Zeerocks, back in January, when they laid off a bunch of us...and after that I went into a decline....
