Hi all,
My name is Mandy and I have just joined up cause I love Japanese stuff.
I am a uni student with a major in Japanese language and I hope to get a job teaching in Japan in the next couple of years.
I was an exchange student to Fukushima in 1999, and some of my best memories are of that year.
Hope to make plenty of mates on this forum!

As the feelings of a snowy winter seem to hover in the air above the mountain tops here in the Japan Alps, I'd like to share some of the coolness, for some of the warmth from down there...down under...maybe from out around the area of Urulu. Also, I'd like to give you a big friendly WELCOME to JREF !!

I hope you spend time with us and enjoy all the discussions that go on. Please check out the whole forum, and join in when and where you can. Also there's the CHAT, where you can keep a page open and chat with those who happen to stop by. . . no need to worry about just stopping by to say 'HI' either...there's no pressure there.

I look forward to talking to you later !! MM

cheers mate! I have to say, even though I'm about 3,000km away from Uluru, it's still pretty hot here. Loved my winter in Japan, it's the only time I've experienced snow. Thanks for the welcome...

Welcome to Jref.

I hope you will enjoy your stay here and I wish you the best with your wish to go back to Japan.

I was in Queensland for about 2.5 months about 4 years ago. A great place, and I would love to go back there. I stayed in Bundy, Brisbane, Surfers, and went to town of 1770 for a day.

Have fun
