Carlson, take her to a nice romantic restaurant and then the best love hotel and screw the living crap out of her.

Well I thought thing were going good. We talked and seemed happy we did the usual and I took her to the train station and when i got back I got to thinking. So i sent her a email asking her if she really liked him or atleast thought she still had feelings. I talked with her later that night and she said yes so I said it was over. I said some mean things to her and personaly just want to know how it work out with them. How wrong she really is about him.

You should have left things alone after you left the train station.

This is the moment of decision: him or you. She has to decide. I wouldn't call her, let her call you (if she does).

With luck, you can get back together for an evening and do what I previously suggested.

Then BOOT her out the door!

ahh i want to call her so bad. I know i shouldnt and should let her figure out how stupid of choice she made...

Well, if you go out, go to Shinjuku or Roppongi on a Saturday night. ALONE. You'll see exactly what I was talking about in an earlier post. 😄

oh i know lol ive had a many of fun nights out.

Aww I'm sorry about it, Carlson. *hugs*
But she made the choice, and that is fair enough, and at least you know where you stand, rather than keep speculating.
I hope you find someone else, who is more loyal.

I had a little pick to some reviews about that area... Carlson I envy you, please reboot your brain, read a Albert Ellis Book in 3 days and go again in that area, then on monday post it here, please do it for meeeeeeeeee

holy crap i think im making excuses for her. I need to start calling some lost numbers on my phone and see who is still single lol.

Well Carlson, if you do just want a girl to have some fun with, I think you were on the wrong track from the start :p

I think some people are making to many jokes about something this serious...

or am I to serious with love? because some of you just act like a 1 year relation is nothing. ( of course not just popping up the ring, but the ring does mean how much he loves her) and you guys just say, run away bla bla... I expected better from some

The problem lay on those so called feelings... love for a person who shows so much disrespect for you it is not true love, can be an obsession or masochismツ… but no love. (Personal Experience for 2 times)

When you arrive at the ring after all this trouble it is usually sign of desperation, just to try to glue broken china that is why everyone is trying to convince him to get over it ASAP. Especially if he is 20ツ…

I'd say so. After all, he's only 20 (and you're 21 even though you found what you wanted). What was that song about "Puppy Love?"

Bad move. She'll be able to manipulate you. You have to show more backbone.

"What are you? A man or a mouse? C'mon, squeak up!"

It also brings to mind a scene from the Godfather when Marlon Brando smacks his son in the face and says, "You can act like a man!"

Sad to see that you broke down and called her. Now she will know just how "easy" and manipulative you are and she can have you wrapped around her little finger again by just opening her legs or pulling out the golden toy you often talked about. And she can also be free to fool around and search around for Mr. Perfect because she knows you will always be there for her. When it comes to sex men are very weak. I know. Been there done that.

Now all she has to do is wait and soon you will be so horny or engulfed in rage and jealousy just thinking about her making love or talking with another man and that you will call her. Don't be the patsy Carlson. You were insulted and besides, she said she preferred the other guy. Let her go!

Maybe you are Dutch, but some of us are speaking from many years of experience and we are trying to pass down that experience. Unfortunately most don't heed the advice given and prefer to learn the hard way by themselves. In the grand scheme of love, a one year relationship is nothing. True love shows it's face after 4-5 years of marriage. I was engaged for 4 years before getting married because I wanted to be sure this was the one due to my previous experiences.

Just think about the most beautiful, sexy woman you can think of (or man in the case of the ladies) and I will guarantee that sooner or later their mate will tire of making love to them if communication is not developed beforehand and new and exciting ways of making love are introduced into the relationship. It happens in all relationships. That is why it is more important to be friends first and lovers second.

After all can you eat filet mignon everyday and not tire of it or any food or thing that you like for that matter? No, you can't unless you have it in moderation or prepare or do it in different ways that makes it more enticing.

Just my advice for what it's worth. But the choice is still up to you. Good luck again in whatever you decide.

Love that movie! But it wasn't Don Corleone's son he smacked and said that to. It was the singer (a homage to Sinatra?) who was whining about not getting a role in a movie (which led to the horse's head in the producer's bed). Your point is well-taken, though. It is on the money.

Carlson

Two things...

1) You can not be serious about considering marriage to a girl after only a year! A year is normal courtship for a couple who speak the same language...not for two people of different nationalities who speak (mainly) different languages. There is still a lot to learn about one another.

2) Didn't you used to come here and post how you loved going to Love hotels on the weekends with your girl? If so, don't you think your relationship was more sexual/physical then emotional? At least for her?
