i love it ( how ever its not new for me i have seen it 2 months ago)
harajuku rulez!!!! i would like to see them for real the fashion people ( you got to love it...)

on the cd of gwennie, she have some songs about them

she had a contest where if you won you got clothes and a trip to japan...i meant to enter it but forgot! we need a fashion scene like that in the u.s., our clothes are so boring.

seen video....and her live in concert was amazing, but they always giggle after the what you waiting for song..hmmm

our clothes are so boring.

Another thing Harajuku is famous for shops that sell used clothes from the US. You could go to salvation army and get the same stuff cheaper in a lot of cases.

It's not the clothes, it's how you dare to wear them!

hmmmm.....whats the point of this topic, people have...nevermind...

I love her new songs an videos. She has been a fashion trend setter in the us ever since she came on the scene with no doubt. I love the fashions in Japan. Expecially the Harajuku girls style. 😍

i wish i could express my style like that, but it's almost impossible here. for one thing, the clothes are all the same and it'd be impossible to det a decent job. <bleagh>

Gah, listen to Harvey.
A lot of Harajuku fashion is second hand 'vintage' clothes.
In Australia I bought an old school Adidas tracksuit Jacket for like $15 at a St Vincent De Pauls charity shop. People in Japan LOVED it. I saw the same one one day in a harajuku vintage clothes shop (that adevrtises as having 'American clothes') for about 10,000yen! About 600% more than I paid. They also had things like grungy old US heavy metal shirts for 6000yen. The shop was packed with hip young cats. I smiled, laughed to myself.

Like Harvey said, a lot of that fashion scene is from vintage clothes or designer clothes made to look vintage.

i should gather all the old clothes laying around my house, and then head to harajuku and style them like nothing ever...all for suff yo uprolly couldn't pay someone to take where i live. 👍

WAAAAH!!! Harajuku girls are sooo cool!!!!!

But are we talking about the ones carrying the "mix and match" style, the Fruits-style, or are you guys talking about the manba-girls and the Kogals?

☝ um, what's the difference? the only ones i really know are the mix-and -match ones.

Check these guys out; like the glasses!

And these... are the manba-girls. Never heard of them? The are... really.. pretty?

They are known for their really... strange way of acting/dressing and putting on make-up. I think they're awesome!! They really provoke!

In my experience with girls like that they either tended to be complete airheads or really really bitchy.
Hahaha

yeah, more shibuya girls... and I've heard they were suppsed to be really really annoying. many japanese i've talked to say these girls are really rude and bitchy, and that many people can't stand them...

Don't know if they are annoying or bitchy, but I do think they bear a striking resemblance to clowns.

I agree that they do bear a slight resemblance to... clowns.
I have always been fascinated with fashion and expressig oneself through clothes, though - doens't matter if it's visual kei or manba-girls, I'm always impressed like hell.

I look at the different styles as artworks, where you show your inside by letting the clothes you wear function as...um.. *where was I?* *man, my english sucks, can't find the words...*
ANYWAYS: people who express themselves through different clothes-styles are realy really cool and I admire anyone who dares to be different and provocative. (Even if I don't find all the different styles pretty...)

those pictures reminded me of marilyn mansons mickey mouse phase...:: shiver they look like they've had really bad sun burn but where wearing sunglasses..big ones...O.O

 Oh, so you mean I'd look better with a bunch of dark brown make up on my face and fake eyelashes and a wig? THAT'S a great compliment... :-)
No seriously, I'd try out the style if I could - but I don't have the money for the clothes needed and also I'd be killed walking around like that in Sweden.

I think I'll pass on that one... 😊

they make most othier clothes ingrid they buy some but too make it even more wild they mix it around with different colours and things...if you wanted too know....
