hello everybody!

I have been browsing the board for about 4 years now an finally decided to create this account.

I am a dutch boy and am 18 years old.
I have had an interest in Japan since I was pretty young.
I have lived in japan for a year (2006) as an exchange student, and am back in the netherlands for 2 months now.

As this experience has definitely changed my lfe I think it will be interesting to hear other peoples stories. and if people are interested I might put my story online.

Pleased to meet you all.

Morguh!! And a very warm welcome to JREF!! 👍
So in which part of Japan did you stay? What did you study? Of course we want to know all about it!! :-)

Enjoy your stay!!

I went to japan with a highschool program of YFU.
My school was in Hiroshima (hiroshima daigaku fuzoku kotogakkou a.k.a. hirodai fuzoku) and lived in hatsukaichi which is about 25 mins. from hiroshima station.

I studied al the mandatory subjects at a highschool.

but I will ost more about it in a thread later.

Lol, this is starting to look like a Dutch thread with already 5 dutch members saying hello.

Including me: Hello!

Mind if I join in?

Hello Ran, glad to see you decided to sign up and get in contact with us. Have fun and enjoy ^_^

I'll be the sixt person (whos dutch) to say hi...
Welcome, cool u already went to japan!
I wanna go 2 with my little sis (hiroto=love)
Ja ne :)

@ Hiroto=Love

I went with YFU but it seems like there are a lot of different organisations (if that's what your looking for) with exchange programs to japan.
Because of my number of posts I can't post a link to their website, but I think your can figure out their webaddress by yourself ;)

You'll probably find something you like if you search around

If anyone has questions about being an exchange student, or about anything, please ask.

Furthermore, I want to thank all of you for your kind replies.
