didn't follow the whole thread, but did u already talk about his auto-biography? if it is really real, wht he writes (i didn't read the whole thing, just parts) then he must be really crazy and perverted........

Recently i have been downloading gackt's music and I have come to love it alot. I also like glay. I'm just starting to listen to hyde so I dont have an opinion yet.

I was surfing on the internet when I suddenly got to a site. I just overread it and found a link: gackts autobiography. Did I think: What's that? Maybe I'll take a look. Then I saw a listing of chapters, one of them was: "love and sex" (<< I remember! I was searching on information about Gackt and masas relationship!) So I looked, what he writes about it. And you know, it was really a shock for me! I dunno, if I can post it here...
Oh, man! That changed my attitude towards gackt, but just a little! I love him nevertheless!

I personally think, he is the most complicated person on earth! 
me... me.... i want to be 1st on gackt's list... and ( much to many of us pple's wishes) be a dear member.... awe! 
gackt... his got a great strong voice ( sexy and manly and all= though pple says he's gay)... very unique way of writing his songs... have always admired artiste who do their own lyrics

Gackt's voice introduced me into the world of Japanese music. And I'm sure glad he was my doorway into that world. He has a wonderful voice, singing and speaking. Talented, eccentric, good looking, very strange = great combination.
As for his albums, my favorite is Mars. My favorite Gackt song is the single version of Story.
I'm still indecisive on whether or not i like his solo or Malice Mizer career better. Actually, I think they're par to par.
I heard it, too, gackt and his plastic sugeries. from photos I can tell, that he surely had surgery on his nose... years ago, though. but I really can't imagin he goes lifting! I mean, 30 isn't old, and asian ppl alway look younger as they are.... I dunno about gackts oldering status! You have seen some of his recent live appearences? When the camera does close-ups on his face u can see, that he has oldened funny, though...
another thing is his "fall from the stage"! really embarassing! I screamed, when I saw it, I was sooo in shock! u know, u have to see it, this fall is just gorgeous! Imagin yourself walking and suddenly the floor under your feed vanishes! shocking!! But Gackt manages professionell! In 2 seconds after the fall he was up again singing. A little out of line, though ^^ to tell u the truth: in this short concert gackt really sucked... dunno wht his problem was... he coudn't sing at all! gomen, gackt-sama, demo hontou da yo!

How many of you here listen to Gackt? Some of my friends think he's starting to become a pop singer, but no matter what he sings, his voice is heavenly! Btw, it was Gackt's 31st birthday on July 4th! Tanjyoubi omedetou Gackt-sama!

As for his voice, I find its terribly nasal, and the overuse of vibrato is obviously his way of masking his apparent lack of pitch control.
I cosplayed as him on July 4th at AX, as a bit of a mockery to him, though. Fun as hell, I tell ya.

I do agree that he lays the vibrato on pretty thick. It's nice and pretty for certain stuff but not for the vast majority of his music. *shrug*
I like his voice but I'm not buying every release like I used to. I fell back into the androgynous, romantic male world - which Kamijo is the king of~

Yes, Gackt's voice does get a bit nasal and he over uses his vibrato at times but I still think his voice is mesmerizing.
