yeah... so who here actually listens to stuff in english anyomore? and i'm not talking about the odd x-japan song or... suprisingly most of pop is dead (damn him and his seriously broad accent)

like, i listen to >some< but... the most 'heared of' band that i have more then 1 song of in my playlist is nightwish... and they're finish, lol.

the other bands are like the birthday massacre, k's choce, kill hannah.... that's about it, lol. (again, not really all that heavey, but pretty darn unique well... kill hannah not so much, but the guy's voice is hott)

so, yeah, what is it about jrock that just... completely disconnects you with the world we once knew?
i can hardly talk about music now with most people because... i have no idea what they're going on about...
i'm just wondering how many of us have completely cut themselves off from this sid of the world?

I really don't listen to anything other than Asian music really anymore. Most Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese.

Some bands I do listen to Muse, Placebo, and Franz Ferdinand. That's about it.

Speaking of which I saw Muse live this past Saturday... it was the most amazing experience of my life. I don't want to gush too much though. All I'm saying Muse was bloody amazing... Austin, Texas was not. I have never been so lost in my life. That is the most confusing palce ever. Some how despite there being like a thousand people ahead of us in line we still managed to get front row... *is still in shock from it* It was like that painting in the Sistine Chapel where God and Adam are almost tocuhing... that's how close I was to touching Matt when he stood on the bass speakers in front of me. Picutures just don't do the man justice... he is so beautiful.

hee hee. i used to have a big crush on him. they were onna my 'obsession' bands for a while... along with sum 41 (shh), saves the day.. linkin park (i actuall have my suspicions their 'mr han ' did a gig with miyavi... i need to check it out)... avenged sevenfold... lol, i hardly listen to any of them now...
i can imagin they were great... they are brillient, it;s just to m they got a little 'sameish' after a while...
i've only been to a nightwish gig... was imence, they rule, lol.
man... i have that pic in my head now... that's close *is gelious*

i've been desperat for some chinese rock. it's what made me go looking for jrock in the first place. it;s rediculous. the number of chinese people i know, and not one of them knows a chinese rock band i can look up. i heard some, though it was awsomness, tryed searching on the net... couldn;t fine anything, so i tryed japanese rock instead... well... there was tones ^^;
i listen to korean stuff too ^.^

I used to be a huge Linkin Park fan... I lost a lot of respect for them when they made that album with Jay Z... and wasn't Jay Z retired at the time. He had to come back and ruin my life but butchering one of my favorite bands... I hate rapper so much I wanna throw up.

Oh it was so amazing... words can't describe. The opening act Razor Light was pure sh*t. The lead singer was so cocky... he took his shirt of and I just laughed at him. He had that "I'm hot and I can have any girl here cause I'm a rockstar and I have a english accent" sort of attitude. Real mood killers... but after I think it was the first 2 songs I saw Chris standing backstage watching them and the crowd... so I smiled at him... he waved and smiled back. From then on I ignore Razor Light and watch Chris. For such a big guy he is so gentle and quiet... he barely ever talks in interviews.

...and Dom. He was precious. Me and my friend kept making faces at him and he would wink and make funny faces back at us. Dom's really the only one who interacts with the crowd... Chris bangs his head too much and Matt keeps his eyes closed practically the whole time.... haha.

i have a really mixed ranged for music, and i don't really mind rapp/r 'n' b, that kinda stuff... woulnd't chose to listen to it, but i don;t mind it... but i never really heared the j-z album... i was so outta touch with the 'main streem' world even by then... lol. i actual grew to hate them with that 'remix' album, their second one? i thought that was pap... but then loved them again with meteora(sp?)... don't really have much of an opinion on them now...

haha, yeah, razor like really suck, i;m sorry you had to go through that. awww, when i first saw muze... they were all just lil kinds, and on the k awords. i tottaly fell inlove, they just looked so CUTE, lol.
that's so cool... i'm realyl jelious now.... but... i'm glad yah had a good time...

I do... haha. Yea Reanimation was crap too... some songs were bearable... the ones that didn't have rappers in them XDDD

Haha... there even smaller in person. There so energetic for being so skinny. Aww... thank you :-) It was really great. I'm so mad... I found out the next day if I would have stayed just 5 minutes more I could have met them gotten their autographs. Me and my fried saw some people waiting by the tour buses and we said "Oh their probably waiting for them to come out" but we had already been hanging out there for like 20 minutes extra so we figured we should just go. They came out like 5 minutes later *smacks self*

Seeing them perform was enough. It was more than I could ever have wished for... it was so surreal. We both joked about going and never took it seriously. Then we really went. Took us 10 hours to drive to Austin and 5 hours of being completely and utterly lost in the city and going in circles, but it was very worth it. I still don't know how we got front row... we got there 16 minute before they started letting people in.

I still feel very euphoric from it all.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............

I only got into jrock a really short while ago (last summer), so I still listen to some vestiges of English music 😌 includes Franz Ferdinand (good for driving to), Soulwax, and Avenged Sevenfold... and other stuff, I quite like vintage Alice Cooper (makes me laugh :giggle: ), oh, and Steve Vai, I guess you could call it English even though he's American lol 😌 only I prefer his music that has no lyrics so I can just admire his guitar playing (only in small doses though). I like Wolfsbane, and, does anyone remember Fleetwood Mac? Well, before they became cheesy and crap, they did a cool song called Oh Well, I love that one. (I'm not *really* old enough to remember the original Fleetwood Mac!!!) :sorry: I used to like the Sisters of Mercy, too.

When it all gets too much, get someone to lock you in a padded cell with nothing but 'Sabre Dance' by Dave Edmunds turned up to *full* volume....... :banghead:

awww! damng it!
when i when to see nightwish, the support band came back into the audience during nightwishe's performance, lol... my firned was talking to them all night and i didn;t realise it was them ^^; there were many tall people at that concert... and i'm not short, but i'm not tall either ^^;
damn, sounds like yah had a way good time ^.^
heh, me and my friend got 'scoweld' atby people on the train... we were kinda singing random songs about the currency's in euroupe that we learnt a long long time ago, lol.. and i was obsessing over this guys i named 'button press' for some reason who we 'stalked' onto the platform... he just didn't get on our train U.U he was pretty...
o and i was talking to my coat... yeah, we were hiiiigh that day (on pure excitement of cause)
we got there bout an hour early then got lost ^^;

Haha... I wouldn't of cared if Razor Light came into the audience. I probably would have told them they suck and watch closely as a real band plays. Also I would have told the lead singer never to take off his shirt again too. :D

I wanted to ask the security guarded for a set list but I forgot. The whole tour they made there new songs into anagrams (and called them different names each gig) It was insane. They were leaving us clues to gifts from them. Some guy got an autographed bike. There so smart.

They only played 2 of there 4 new songs at our new gig. Debase Mason's Grog and Pee Candle (what? what crackhead fans came up with those names... lol)

Also they played Citizen Erased which they rarely play cause during one performance of CE Matt cut his lip really bad and was bleeding everywhere so he thought it was an omen or something. Microcuts too... omg he sounded so eerie and angelic. Ohhh and Sunburn... I was not expecting any of those songs cause I followed pretty closely the set lists of the all the gigs.

Also we had a 3 song encore... were kinda nervous cause the set guys came and started messing with the equipment but then the guys came and played.

haha, yeah... sometimes watch that if i can be bothered to find the remote.... i don't even watch beyblad anymore, lol (that was the only thing i used to watch)

I still listen to some western music. Butthole Surfers(well, Independent Worm Salloon), A.F.I., Eels, some random stuff, and a lot of swedish and norwegian punk. (Like DOZARNE. They rule!)

But about english... Is the lyric for Machiavellism really Hurry up, hurry up, wrist-cut show.?
I can agree with the last part but I really can't hear him saying hurry up...

yeah, afi rules, and swedish and norwegian punk i can imagin is great too, lol.

hmm.... i haven't heared that one... miyavi tho right *has a limited selection, and knows very few names of songs* if it is, i wouldn't but it past him... i still can't believe he's saying 'with spring winds, breath in a breaze' in ashita, genki ni naare.. lol... i mnea... i can kinda work it out now but.... i had NO idea before... bless him

yes it's "hurry up, hurry up, wrist cut show" although i heard "cry up, crup up, reez-ka-shi" or somewhere along the lines of that. other people have heard "Kaoru, Kaoru, eat cashews..." XD

hah hah, awww, it's so cute listening to them sing english... especially when they have such strong accents ^.^

hee hee yeah.... they're just cute ^.^
i really do love the accent tho... i wish i could do it... i just don;t hear them speeking in english enough to mimic it... otherwise i bet you i could ^.^ *has a knack for mimicing*

I like to listen to swedish and norwegian punk( like ebba gron, dia psalma, dozarne, mimikry etc.) but I also like eels, midnight oil, smashing pumkins, and stuff like that....

By the way, couldn't it be Karu, karu , wrist cut show?
Apparently karu means cut in japanese. Makes sense and it sounds better...

I thought 'cut' was 'kiru'... but I might be wrong...:? I'm at a pretty woeful level of Japanese 😆

Mind you, I like 'Kaoru, Kaoru, eat cashews' better!!!!!! :D

yes, kiru is "to cut".
Karu is to hunt something.

What's the norwegian punk like?

yeah.... i'm intregued. i've listened to norwegien symphonic metal... but norwegian punk sounds cool ^.^
