English-Japanese 作文 translation help

(Hi, I have a Japanese 作文の試験 -『 買い物について』to prepare for and I need help translating this composition I wrote in English. I have to use certain grammatical structures in the exam as well which I will highlight throughout the text, and I have to use complex 漢字 so please include all characters if you can. I'll post my attempted translation too. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated, thanks!)

I consider shopping as nothing more than (に過ぎない) a necessity at the moment and I don't really consider it a leisure activity. Shopping consists of purchasing groceries along with (とともに) clothes, but I hardly ever buy anything I do not need. However, rarely, on the way ([の]途中で) home from the mall, I might buy a novel that I want to read - which is not really (たいして~ない/たいしたNではない) a necessity, but this is the only exception. I think buying novels is an exception because for me reading is not only (~はAにしてB) interesting but also educational. My mother and sister however love shopping, and for them leisure is the very purpose (~こそ) of shopping. It drives me crazy when I go shopping with them! They are never satisfied with (あくことなく) the amount of clothes they have. If I were to (とすれば/としたら/とすると) view shopping like they do I would never have any money! I think I view shopping as a necessity at the moment because I am a university student and do not have a full-time job so I have to (~ねばならぬ/~ねばならない) budget. I believe having a steady income is connected to (AはBにつながる) viewing shopping as a leisure activity because you have more money to spend and do not have to worry about budgeting for necessities. I think when I have graduated from university and have a decent full-time job I ought to (~べきであろう/~べきねはない) buy myself expensive clothes and gourmet food rather than (むしろ) budget all the time. However, I should be (べきであろう) responsible too and save my money for the future. I think perhaps then shopping should be (べきであろう) a balance between necessity and leisure.

Your composition reads like it was done by one of those online translators. In order for it to make sense at all ( let alone being grammatically correct ), you would have to do a complete rewrite.

I would suggest you write something much simpler (in English) so you would only have to use the words/expressions/sentence structures that were covered in your lessons. Reading your Japanese composition, I don't think your Japanese is at the level where you could attempt a translation of what you've written in English.

I used a dictionary but yeah I struggle with constructing Japanese sentences I'll move it to the language subforums and maybe try to write a simpler composition. Thanks.

thank you so much! That really helps, I always have trouble with syntax and word-order when translating and it never makes sense haha and often when using a dictionary the word doesn't translate the exact same meaning Many many thanks for all your help
