hey all! well i donno if there is already a thread forthis one lol but lets hope not ani way the deador alive movie just recently came out in australia and i thought i it was realy realy good! i have seen it 3 times..a lil obsessed lol


yeah but what did u guys reckon about the movie?

Prefered Dead or Alive 2, but it isn't a bad movie. Odd ending though, but what do you expect from Takashi Miike. Just waiting for 3 to finally come out on DVD.

AFAIK the OP was talking about the Dead or Alive film directed by Takashi Miike, not a set of computer games.

DOA movie:

i played the game DOA2 on the PS2 and its my favourite beat'm up game.
Does the characters from the game plays in it?
like Ryu Hayabusa or Ein??

Still have to wait until 9february until the movie comes out here in Bacolod(City in Philipphines)

My opinion on this movie:

It's atypical Hollywood martial arts spoof...

Not bad if you like martial arts, but not my fav. I thought the sounds of guns when hittin' a person was rather weird, but the camera movements at some points where pretty good though. My favorite character was Princess Kasumi (loved her in 2 Fast 2 Furious and Sin City as well)

Also Eric Roberts was rather disapointin' to me, his best martial arts movie to me is still Best Of The Best from 1989.

So overall not the best martial arts movie ever, but still better then Mortal Combat and Double Dragon what are also based on video games...now all we need is a Tekken movie (not a Manga cartoon). At the end Devon Aoki made this movie enjoyable for me to watch

So if ya like martial arts and arse kickin' movies or like the DOA series, then it's One To Watch.
