Thank you for your response. I am always interested to hear the POV directly of people from the M.E. or those who are Muslim because we never hear near enough in the English language media. And what we usually hear is translated and I suspect poorly.

By your post, I assume you mean you are also against Afghan fighting against Afghan, or perhaps, Muslim fighting Muslim. What would you like to see happen there? The Northern Alliance win or the Taliban? Or just divide the country between them and have peace?

and I think that Afghans may come to terms and have peace if the foreign forces leave Afghanistan

There I agree. The foreign soldiers guarantee there will not be peace.

Even with that explained, I believe the Afghan people have had lots of opportunities to make peace...times when there was no foreign invader. But they don't.

I see the Afghan people as hopeless. I think they have war in the blood, or, you might say that insanity runs in the family. Not all of them mind, but too many to ever hope to have a stable society.
