Do you like genmaicha?

Yes, I know, a rather strange question.
Anyway, I read that the tea's roasted rice should soften the taste of the poor quality green tea used with it. I've to say it tastes rather strange, but maybe because I'm more into black teas anyway.
Just curious what you think about that tea if you like it and such... I heard that it is rather popular in Japan?

I like it, and I think you're right about the effect of black teas. Since I've switched to mainly green teas, I like it much better. I've also found a blend of 3 green teas called Ara-cha, which I also like very much.
