Dir en grey

Ha ha. I love that too. No matter what new feeling hes taken on he always shows such enthusiasm for it. Its really heartening to see that.

i know, i love it... i'm listening to it right now... haha and i'm in the middle of class.. i want to jump on my desk and go RRRAAAWWWRRR but then i'd get in trouble... but it would be so worth it...

being like Kyo-sama.. haha

The kind of influence they received from the other bands also worries me, but I feel Deg are solid enough as a groupgroup and even though their new influences are reflected, they're still Deg in the end.

Yeah they're still diru. I hope some time back home will have given them an opportunity to reconnect. But that whole Kyo just not showing up thing made me blink twice. We really don't know the reason why so its foolish to panic but not showing up because you don't feel like it is a pretty American thing to do.

wow I haven't been on here in forever! I got to see the agitated screams of maggots pv and it rox!

^They'll have tour goods but I don't think they will have an autograph session.
Anyone check out Diru's OHP??
NEW ALBUM!!
THE MARROW OF A BONE
2/7/2007!!!!

I'll probably buy this one at the show (you think they'll have it?) instead of ordering it online....unless there is a limited edition release.
wow, i hope they'll have it with them at the toronto show on feb 9 , would save me some $ from ordering online!!

Mah tummy hurts too. We had stuffing that was so rich I could barely eat a few spoon fulls. lol We didn't have any sweet potatoes with marshmallows though. :/ I really miss those I feel as if I haven't had them for years!

I hope your tummy feels better soon pixie!

Its a shame diru couldn't be in America for any of our holidays! I bet they'd enjoy all the nummies around the holidays. Yum, perhaps I should pack up some holiday sweets in my next package to them at the concert. Marzipan anyone? Oh which reminds me! Is anyone else making a gift to give to them this year? Last year I saw some really great packages and want to aim even higher this year. I originally wanted to get a carton of smokes and some porn but then I read in an interview that the best gifts they receive are more practical things - Shin was absolutely thrilled with a vacuum cleaner he received. How do I beat a vacuum cleaner?

@pixy_false: I'll be flying out of Toronto XD after my classes on the 22nd so it might be an overnight flight for me.

Happy thanksgiving everyone =).

Buy shinya a Mircrowave or Toaster he'd probably like those too.

Hrm, but I only want to give gifts to Kao and Kyo this year. :( IF I gave Kyo a toaster hed just eat it.

Or use it to brand himself. D:

Hmm...I really do feel like giving them something, especially since I didn't take the chance to last time, but I guess that's mostly because I didn't know that their was a meet and great and that I'd be close enough to even give them anything. I have no idea who I'd want to give things to, though I'd certainly like to give them each something, but I have no idea what they'd like. That makes me sound like such a bad fan, doesn't it?...Anyways, do you guys have any general ideas you could give me about the kinds of things they like or like getting? I'd really aprpeciate it. :-)

Happy Turkey Day!~🙂

Has anyone here been a member long enough to remember the Diru toasters? I mean I know some of you were around but by god those things were great. If I had honestly had a way to make them I would have, lol. (rofls toaster talk)

Um things they like? Well honestly I think cigs and porn is as good an idea as any. Oh! And last year I saw a girl get Kao a bunch of In & Out things since he likes burgers. I thought that that was cute.

I remember Diru toasters ah great times great times. And the shortly lived J-Rock Battle Royal. That was funny.

oh my god battle royal! I remember that! damn! We never found out who would win either! My vote was in for Kagrra, they had Nao and a plan to combat Mana's eyeliner - unstoppable force.

Damn is it just me or has jref lost some of that happy fun time-ness.

Alright, I was thinking of my gift and I wasthinking what if I got them each a pack of cigs with a bow on it? Do you think that would work? :/

Well not for Shinya lol. Wanna see my gift for Shinya... I can't find the link but its a t shirt that says "Save a drum bang a drummer" lol aint that cute.

And yep JRef has lost some of its fun. I wonder how many Morning Musume girls a left, you know Kyo did eat a good number of them.

omg! XD That's so cute! Ah, if only I could find something like that for guitar and vocal and I'd be set. Argh you've just raised the bar. Now I have to find something that's on the level of that damn vac and your t-shirt.

Ah but see the great thing about having the musume girls host was that as soon as Kyo downed a couple we could just replace them! And when they final band had won and were awaiting their helicopter to take them back we could just release what girls remained onto the wilds of the island to feed the starving winning members. The cycle of life at its best! Everything would have taken care of itself. Unless MYV had somehow won . . . :?

I remember Diru toasters XD that thought came to my mind when I posted about the toaster idea.

If you really can't think of anything to get any of the members of Diru just buy them underwear they'll wear them. Toshiya and Kaoru wear everything the fans get them if i'm remembering correctly.

I still haven't received my tickets! Should i start to panick???
Anyways, theres like 91 days 2 hours till the show!!! 😎
I wonder if Kyo is gonna touch himself like i heard he did last time! He does that A LOT doesn't he? Dirty little kyo!

woot I got one of my tickets.. now waiting for the other.

And I got a question. My little cousin is 14 and she wants to go to the phili show with me. I recently infected her with diru love and she wants to go see them. Do you think a diru concert would be okay for someone that age? I haven't been to many concerts, two actually, and they weren't dir en grey. So I don't know. I'm guessing most of the audience is female, so that might help my case. Buuuuut still. What do you guys think?

Thanks a very good question PANTS, you sound like you care for her very much. Id say if you're going to take her you should consider a few things.

1) What kind of person she is. Personally I don't see anything wrong with a 14 year old rocking out at home to music she can't understand the lyrics to, however at a concert understanding the literal meaning of the lyrics or no there is that incredible vibe that goes through the audience that *is* sexual, sometimes violent and at times a bit hysterical.

2) Keep in mind you're taking her to see a band who's lead singer fish hooks his face. Here are some pretty good pictures taken during a concert that should give you a feel of what the average diru concert is like :

musicpix.net

That level of intensity on stage isn't for everyone and seeing someone fish hook themselves or cut themselves with their fingernails or razor blades isn't something you'd like to show her you should let her parents know ahead of time so they can think on it.

3) And I know some people say this isn't a problem but I've taken younger members of my family to a concert before so in my experience its something to worry about :/. And that's how *physically* little she is, where you'll be sitting and how many concerts she's been to before hand. If you're sitting in an area where there's bound to be a lot of energy and she's very small I suggest working something out so you can always be near her. Diru gives some of the most intensity concerts I've every been to and the first one by them I attended at the Wiltern had people in the pit literally passing out and having to climb over the moshers to be helped out by security so they could see the on site medic. lol I still remember the amount of girls in wheel chairs or laying on the ground just trying to breath deeply and shakily holding the water they gave them to sip over in the sick/rest area of the hall after the show. I was almost one of them. So if you DO go ahead and take her make sure you work something out where you can be with her at all times, perhaps wrap your arms around her to keep her from getting mashed (usually I stand behind my cousin at a show and when the crowd moves I put my arms in a loose circle around her to keep her with me and make sure some dumb butt doesn't try to mash her).

I hope whatever goes on you have a good and safe time! :-) And yes a lot of the crowd is female but the concerts I've been to are equally mixed. I think JREF tends to be a little more female on the diru threads. lol

WHOA :| Kyo really cuts himself on stage? :| I always thought that was fake! :| But his belly :| WhoA! What the hell happened to his face? :S

Its called fish hooking and no its not fake (the vomit was what was fake). Fish hooking is where you take your finger and forma fish hook shape with it and stab your nail into your skin before ripping it away quite suddenly. At "best" this rips away an open flap or chunk of skin, at "worst" all it does is leave a rather nasty scrape.

lol

The first time I saw him do it live he started by fish hooking the inside of his mouth and it took him several times to get it right so what he ended up flinging over the audience was saliva instead of blood. It was a strange moment that I ended up witting a pretty long JREF post about and its significance.

But yeah the blood part is all real. Like that NO FUTURE message he carved into his chest awhile back. :/

WHOA! XD I heard it was true, but I thought like... Yaah sure XD But now I saw pictures of it O.O It looks horrible XD XD But yeah.. Kyo XD

:/ Yeah. When away from a concert and in my home it makes me worry. But like I said in that long post that's somewhere on a thread is that seeing it was the equivalent of a religious experience. Before I ever saw diru live I said :sure I'm a fan" but I really had no idea what that meant until I got in a situation where myself and the dozen other people around me crushing the breath from my body were all fighting and screaming for a man on stage to hit us with his spit. lol

I suppose that sounds a bit crazy but really that's how it felt. After that concert I was left shaky and so sick I couldn't move properly for a week but I felt as if somehow I had had a internal cleansing of some sort. :D
