Dir en grey

^Interesting. I knew Dead Tree had to do with war but didn't know about Hotarubi. They are both one of my fav Diru songs. I should look up translations more often.

What other war songs do they have? Or are most of them related to the A-bombs? Wonder why they choose that. (well...actually.... it was one of the most devastating things in Japan ever...)

side note: Just Hiroshima? no Nagasaki? = P

eH I'm feeling in a interpretive mood apparently...
 
probally Nagasaki as well but most people remember Hiroshima when it comes to the A-Bombs as I believe Hiroshima was hit first.

not sure if it's exactly about war, i'm abit lazy to look up the lyrics, but i think IIID empire is about war too.
 
Wow, I actually never thought those songs were about war....I should go look at the lyrics again.
 
The booklet of WTD had very "war report"-like imagery, too. Or at least, that's the way it struck me (maybe it just seemed that way because of the black and white!).

according to an interview with Kyo it was about war.... but, then again, he does lie in interviews.... so... i don't really know.... though, just reading the translations to the lyrics, you can definately see a lot of war related imagery.
 
It sounds good. Definitely perfect for headbanging. But I always like Kyo's singing voice better.
 
Its going to have to grow on me. I don't hate it or like it, I really haven't made any opinion in it yet, I'll wait until I get my copy to make an opinion.
 
It sounds pretty good, alot of screaming huh? Honestly, for some reason he's really the only singer I can listen to who screams......for some reason it doesn't bother me
 
I love Screaming Kyo, so thats not the problem, but the song just really grab my attention like their songs usually do. But then Clever Sleazoid was like that at first and thats now one of my favorite songs.
 
Ooo I like the preview of the new single *_* I'm not used to kyo screaming as much because of the last single, but it's still good.
 
I'm not sure about my opinion yet, because it seems too short to judge it. O_< I think it sounds a bit tighter than Clever Sleazoid... I'm really not sure. Have to wait and see. :haihai:

and yea the clip is too short to judge. I'll probably like it.. but i'll have to hear it a couple of times. The screams usually take me a while to get into.

I heard that the whole facial hair trend exploded in Dir en grey and that Toshiya got a moustache?

I have to listen to the whole thing before I can judge. I think I have an idea of how the new album will sound...
I REALLY liked Ryojoku no ame, it's so powerful, my whole body ached when I heard it. (Dir en grey has that effect on me, heh..)

preview of the new single sonnds like a lot of screaming....great guitar sounds as usual.....kick *** drumming...good bass sound....yup, it's a diru song. Can't wait for it to come out :D
